You can set your ring time to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 seconds.

  • Tap **61*121*11* into your phone as if you're making a call.
  • Next enter a time between 5 and 30 (the number of seconds in multiples of 5)
  • Press # and then the call button. Don't put the phone to your ear - just look at the display until you see a message confirming your ring time has been set.
For example, **61*121*11*25# followed by the call button would set your ring time to 25 seconds.

Panasonic kx-tg6821al when someone rings it goes straight to answering machine. The phone does not ring it just goes straight to answering machine

Likely the machine answer option is set to AUTO. This may be change to any number of rings from 2 - 9.

To set number of rings;

1. [MENU] #211
2. Select number of rings with up/down key.
3. [OK]
4. [OFF/PWR]

Want to change from a 3 ring answer to a 5 ring answer

The CS6119 isn't an answering machine. It will continue to ring until someone or something picks up or the caller hangs up.

If you have an answering machine connected, please refer to its documentation or else repost your question and specify the make and model of the answering machine.

I can not locate how to limit the number of rings; and the answering machine does not come on even after 20 rings; I can hear my message recording- when I play it back; but it does not come on for incoming...

Ring count You can change the number of times the phone rings before the unit answers calls. The default setting is "4 rings". "Toll saver": The unit answers on the 2nd ring when new messages have been recorded, and on the 4th ring when there are no new messages. If you call your phone from outside to listen to new messages, you will know that there are no new messages when the phone rings for the 3rd time. You can then hang up without being charged for the call.
1 {MENU} 2 {V}/{^}: "Answering device" i {OK} 3 {V}/{^}: "Settings" i {OK} 4 {V}/{^}: "Ring count" i {OK} 5 {V}/{^}: Select the desired setting. 6 {OK} i {OFF}

I can't figure out how to set up my fax machine so it won't mess up my phone and answering machine either.

Telephone wire goes to fax, out to answer machine, Important to set fax on answer machine mode and set the ring count to pick up AFTER the telephone answer machine. Set fax ring count to 5 rings, and answering machine to 3 or 4. When some one calls answer machine or you pick up first, then if no one will leave a msg. fax tones are different than voice tones, they are called CNG tones. Most new fax machine will sense this and if a fax will go to fax only. Ring count is the key. Also you could set fax up for maual mode and would not jump to anser machine or fax till you want.....good luck
