I Have tried finding the parts to no avail. the part number is T 2D on the first line and P521 on the second line. This part looks like a 4 pin IC but I don't think it is. Just a gut feeling but if I don't follow that feeling it usually bites me in the ***. The device looks white with 2 pins on each side and one of those sides is beveled.

Oki printers are about bullet-proof and I once maintained them.
I'm not sure that your failures were all caused by spikes unless they were all plugged in during a surge.
These aren't new anymore and their failures may be related to electrolytic capacitors simply having decayed.
Already some years ago, I found several instances of this.

The meter I used (and still do now and then) was made by an insturment manufacturer named Tenma and has been very useful over many years although the price has gone up some since I bought mine, the $209 is still not bad for its capabilities and the dual display saves time if one needs to measure DF and this is critical in your case.

I see you are in the electronic service business so you may already have one available.

If not, take a look at this one:

Do you know what actual parts are bad? You might have better luck trying to repair the boards.

I think the parts you are describing are opto-isolators. It is possible, but unlikely that these are the problem. I'll check around a bit and update this tomorrow.

Then power button ncomes on then goes off this process repeats several times before it finally goes off and the screen never lights up

The TV is powering off because it is seeing a problem as it tries to power up.
This issue is usually caused by a bad power supply. Less likely causes are the Y-sustain, the Y-drives, and or the Z-drive.
Using a flashlight. Look through the back panel of the TV at the power supply. The power supply is usually mounted in the middle and down about 6 inches from the top. Look at the tops of the capacitors to see if they are swollen/split/leaking black substance. If they are, then the power supply is bad for sure.
I can look up LG part numbers if you need them. Good luck.

Lighting hit building. the oki 590 has no power. Fuse is ok. What would I look at next. Bob

Oki printers are known for boards going bad even from static discharge from your hands. More than likely you have blown the main board. I have replaced way too many Oki main boards, if you like the printer, replace the board. Otherwise get a lexmark line printer.

My dimension 4700 power supply gets noisy so i blow out the fan and it quiets down. this has happened several times. is my power supply starting to go bad?

Chances are it is just the fan in the power supply that is going bad. It either has dust in it, or the bearing is just wearing out. Either way, you could open it up and replace the fan with a similarly sized fan if you are careful. Power supplies contain large capacitors that can cause injury. If your case has adequate ventilation, a dead power supply fan may not cause any overheating, but it may decrease the life of the power supply.

TV does not appear to be powered. Either fuse or power supply

The fuse is in the power supply. It's a slow blow fuse rated 250V 5A.

Part number for the power supply

These folks are an authorized board repair facility for Ricoh products. You might give them a call for the part number and/or repairs/part exchange program.

Oki Microline 590

Try to perform an offline test print using your printer alone
To do this, power off your printer first
Press and hold the LF/FF button on the printer panel then power on. The printer will perform its own printing ( lines of pattern )
If it does it without problems ( no MENU lights came on ) the printer should be OK. If not try replacing the printer main control board.

Hope this helps

No power what so ever

If memory serves, there is an internal fuse.
If I am wrong, then the power supply needs attention.
