Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

1 Answer

Battery issues I have a Razor V3C and recently the battery was discharging too quickly so I purchased a new Motorola battery with 780 mAh capacity and I still can't get my phone to last one day without discharging. I receive or make maybe 4 calls a day each of less than 5 minutes. When it was new my phone would last 3 days, with heavier usage, before I needed to recharge. The fellows at Radio Shack tell me that my phone is junk and I need to replace it. However I am reluctant to believe them as they also would like to sell me a new phone. HELP!

Why its battery quickly drains

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

MOTOROLA V3i ORIGINAL BATARI

Thanks for visiting FixYa!
The number for the original battery for the Motorola V3i is BR-50. You can purchase a NEW one on ebay for about $3.00 USD. Click here: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-BATTERY-MOTOROLA-RAZR-RAZOR-V3-V3c-V3i-BR50-/200556972872?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2eb2208b48#ht_2908wt_987

Razor

HI,
Every phone battery has a life cycle. if the battery is more than year old , it most probably requires a replacement. As its not able to retain charge. If its under one year , get the same replaced from the motorola service center . I had the same problem with my razor and they replaced it free of charge as the same was under 1 yr .

Thanks

Battery will not charge with a new RAZR V3C phone

the usb charging port may need to be service or replaced so it would be best to take the phone to a mobile repair and have it done.

Razor battrey

Did the phone show it was charging on the display? Was the charger firmly connected to the phone? The batteries will go bad after a period of time of recharge cycles. I have bought replacement batteries for my RAZR on eBay. Remove the battery and do a search on eBay for a NEW battery from a dealer using the battery P/N on the battery. I found a higher capacity battery for mine that lasts even longer on a charge than the original one that came with my RAZR. You can do a search on eBay for "RAZR battery". Look at the mAH rating on your battey, Try finding a replacement with the same or higher rating than your original. The higher the mAH rating, the longer it will last between recharge cycles.

Good luck!
