Question about Bosch Nexxt Premium WFMC6400UC Front Load Washer

Violent shaking Our washer, no matter how full or empty, shakes so bad, sometimes it sounds as if it's going to come through the floor!! We have had 2 repair men here to look at it and both of them said that it was normal for a front load washer to shake like that. My mother has the exact same model and hers does not shake like that. It is shaking so bad that it is starting to crack the plastic by the knobs!! Help! I love this washer otherwise, but it is so embarrassing when company is over and you have to explain the freight train noise and house vibrations coming from the other room!

My Bosch takes off, too. It's on the second floor and the noise is unbelievable. I recently tossed aside the repair man's advise to fill the Bosch to the brim and cut back to smaller loads and the washing machine is grounded--no noise...quiet as advertised. However, I'm now encountering other problems and am wishing I bought a Maytag. For starters, my machine starts fine and then shortly after filling, it immediately drains out. The only way I can do a load of wash is to unplug it for a while and pray for a good wash day. If my prayers are answered, I can wash effortlessly in any cycle. Otherwise, I'm rinsing the clothes by hand and tossing them in the dryer. The repair man thinks it's a door latch issue. I don't think that's possible. Seems like the computer in the washer is toast. Help?

Mine is brand new and shakes so violently that I have decided to go to the laundromat until I come up with a solution. The repairman claims that this is normal when a front loading machine is upstairs and made worse because it is in a pan. I am reluctant to take it out of the pan since it is upstairs and I do not know what to do. Even when I have a small load and put it on the gentle spin cycle the shaking/noise is so bad that I cannot bear to let it continue for fear it will come crashing through the floor. Please help me.

You urgently need to find a competant repairman. It sounds like the bearings on the drum are dangerously worn or the straps/springs/blocks balancing the drum has some issues. Hope I was some help.

As a 20 year tech for washers and dryers I can tell you all every front load washer customer i have ever had where the washer is not on cement or concreat floors they all shake the heck out of the rooms and floors knock things off shelves and had one crack the drywall at the corner seem. Floor pad sometimes help and other times it makes it jump even more. stacking a dryer on it makes even worse and more unserviceable all the electronics are under the top and with a dryer ontop you cant test any components. Not to mention most front load washer only last about 5 to 7 years then the rear bearings go bad and it need to be rebuilt wich cost almost as much as the unit did. They alll have 3 computer in them each cost 300 dollrs and up plus labor its just not worth it,So good luck keep spending too much money on over priced fancy junk that just keeps costing more and more money Do yourself a favor go ask 5 repairmen what they own befor you buy a fron load unit. save your money spend 4 to 5 hundred tops on a washer then repair cost are cheaper and it will last up to 15 years trust me the more you spen on an appliance the more it breaks and cost you to keep.

My bosch front load does the same thing...I drop the spin speed down..also my husband got some foot pads (I believe at best buy) and the problem is no more...they are little black pads made for that purpose.

I set it on reduced ironing and drop the spin speed to 700

Hi it sounds like the shock absorbers are faulty could just be a cheap washing machine loaded with cheap parts. make sure its not fitted on top of a carpet this will ruin the shock distribution. needs to be level on a solid floor make sure its not overloaded too.

During spindrying the WFT9230TP shakes violently although the feet are all pressing tightly against the floor.

The clothes must be balanced inside the drum in order to stop the violent shaking. Unlike a front loader, the top loaders must be balanced before starting the load.

If you need more assistance, let me know.

ok, if it is shaking that bad it has more damage than you might think,, first open the door and look at the gasket, it should be nice and round, not flexed or under strain,, then try to take it of of the pedestal and run it,, if this helps get a new one,, the shocks wouldnt cause it to shake real bad,, it could be a bad spring, or a counter weight issue, but it sounds like it might have been dropped for a leg mount to be broke,, i have never seen one break without a GOOD REASON

Washer shakes when spining. More on heavier loads.

shaking is generally due to inadequate floor structure under machine; i.e. plywood floor. in addition, if the washer is on a "pedistal" it will make matters worse; as the center of gravity is away from the floor. in rare cases, one of the drum "struts" can fall apart; and, cause excessive shaking. if you broke the locknut on one of the legs, unscrew the leg, and bring it to the hardware store for a replacement nut.

the washer requires a structurally sound floor for shake-free operation. anything other than a cement/concrete slab will shake. even on a tile floor there is slight shaking. a vinyl over plywood floor just won't cut it. a pedistal makes matters worse; as you're bringing the center of gravity up and away from floor.

Washer shaking

first make sure the shipping bolts were removed from the machine, then make sure it is level, then if it still shakes, take your fist and hit it on your head... jk, if you have it on a wood floor, or your floor isnt 100% sturdy, you cant do anything about it besides using anti vibration pads. they wont do that much tho.

GE front loader shakes when trying to spin

try putting either a piece of plywood under the machine so that all 4 legs are standing on it or using plastic floor protectors that fit under each leg to see if you can get it to be more level. Have you ensured that each leg is in full contact with the floor?
