Question about Bosch 24 in. SHU43 Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

Bosch SHX46A02UC-21 Won't Fill and Drain Runs Continually. Original presentation of problem was that it wouldn't drain. Discovered that Garbage Disposal had plugged drain line. After clearing Drain Line, now drains fine but the drain pump runs continuously and it never fills with water. Have done the Cancel, Power Off routine however, even after that, drain pump runs continually.

I am reading your postings and we are having the same problem. It started the same way by not draining, flooded the kitchen, etc. Unclogged everything (we think) but now will not fill with water. "Have done the Cancel, Power Off routine however, even after that,
drain pump runs continually."- how do I do this? Also you say "float
switch is in the flood position and the drain pump is running..
there is water under the dishwasher or that switch is stuck up.."
    where is this switch? Model#SHU43C06C/14

I have the same problem. I filled my dishwasher and ran it. Meanwhile my garbage dispoal area was filling up with dirty water (i think from the dishwasher) than suddenly my dishwasher was leaking. Obviously something was clogged. Eventually the clog was clear and Now i am trying to run the dishwasher again. Unfortunately it hums or trys to drain but there is no water or cleaning/rinsing action go on inside the washer.

    What should be done?????????????????????????????????????

My Bosch dishwasher has had a problem since we had it installed. It smells like garbage after sitting for a few hours. This problem is there whether it has been run or not. Water is always standing in...

Was the drain tube that hooks into the sink drain passed over the partition between the sink area and washer area or through a low-level hole. If through a low-level hole, try rerouting the tube over the partition. This forms a 'trap area' to isolate the sink drain from the washer pump area. Hope this helps!

Will not fill. Drain pump runs all the time.

Sounds like flood switch has been activated. They have a float in the base of machine, which will activate drain pump if a leak has occurred. Unplug from power- remove right hand side panel, check to see if any water in base. If so, leak has occurred. Clear water from base and test run to locate leak

Bosch SHX46A02Uc/21

it is likely a control module issue. I will take mine apart this weekend to verify what others have said: solder joint on circuitboard burns out from possible overheating, and DW doesnt go into rinse cycle. Try rinse and hold cycle to see if it stops on its own. mine does, but the other cycles which require the rinse to go to 156 degrees do not; the continue to run until I cancel and drain.

Don't. Just attach your hose and the end of the Bosch hose together. Just wind up the Bosch hose and tape it to the back of the machine.
