The ArcSoft PhotoImaging suite is just to process and scan images, but the printer hardware itself needs hardware drivers, which contain coded instructions to communicate with your CPU.
This is the HP scanning software.
Printer/Scanner hardware should have a driver setup disk that came with it.
If you have this disk:
shut down PC
uninstall the current version, if in start>control panel>programs
install driver from disk or downloaded driver file for your model.
To add your scanner, simply plug it in. If it does not appear in Apple Menu > System Preferences > Print & Scan, you may need to run Software Update (also from the Apple Menu, second item down), and then click the plus ( + ) button in the lower-left of Print & Scan, select your scanner, and then add the printer.
The default scanning application in OS X is Image Capture. After completing the above steps, open Applications > Image Capture and you should see your scanner listed on the left.
The error message could be Twain Driver error or ScandAll pro Application error. Please go through the followings:
SCANDALL-PRO APPLICATION ERROR:
Error Code: [SA01020E] No scanner is found. There is a possibility that no scanner is connected, the connected scanner is not turned on, or the scanner is currently used by some other application.
Status: [Scan] or [Select Scanner] is specified, but no connected scanner is found. Or, the scanner is currently used by some other application.
Action: Make sure that the scanner is connected and is turned on. If the scanner is currently used by some other application, use the scanner after the application ends. Make sure that the driver selected on the [Scan] tab of [Preferences] in the [Tool] menu is installed correctly.
TWAIN DRIVER ERROR:
-The scanner may be OFF or not connected. Check the power supply of the scanner or connection with PC. -The scanner may be already in use by other application or the "Scanner and Camera" in [Control Panel].Close other application or "Scanner and Camera" in [Control Panel]
-The connected image scanner is not a model supported by this driver. No image scanner is connected. The cable is disconnected.Check whether the image scanner is connected.
-Another application may already be using the image scanner. Alternatively, the TWAIN driver may have been activated twice.Terminate all applications, and start scanning again.

Please select "uninstall" or similar option from the menu containing the program oprtions. If it is not found, go to control panel -> Add/Remove Programs and select the program and click remove. The application will be removed.

You are correct. According to the Power LED it diagnoses this as: The power supply is receiving power from the source but is unable to
properly distribute it to the components. Reseat all power connections
to the system board. It's either the power supply or the motherboard. Power supplies run anywhere from 50 to 100 dollars. Motherboards for the Dell can run anywhere from 200 to 300 dollars plus labor. Also check your USB ports to see if any are damaged. They can short out your power supply if broken.
if ur using windows xp then u can scan ur pictures from my computer. if ur scanner is properly installed then u can find scanner or camera device on ur my computer screen. u jst need to right click on that select 'get picture from scanner or camera wizard' . here u will get the scanning option. & if u having widows vista or windows 7 then u can scan ur pictures from 'paint'. u will find scanner or camera option in file menu.
open your device manager in control panal attach your scanner with computer and power on look at imaging device
double click the usb scanner or right clik the scanner itom select update driver select brows my compurer for driver software install driver manually insert your software driver cd in cd rom
search for driver software in this location brows and select cd or dvd rom drive select tickmark at included subfolders then click at next button auotmatic install your driver then your scanner is work with device and printer folder
you also instass scanwizard software form your cd and scanner work properly.
TWAIN is the type of scanner driver that is used for this scanner. It is probably the most common type of scanning driver.
Did you install Toolbox? Not sure? Assuming this is Windows, click Start, All Programs, Canon. Look for open CanoScan Toolbox (4.9 I think). Once this is open, click the 'Settings' button. There should be a drop-down menu for 'Select Scanner'. Make sure this shows the CanoScan LiDE 25. If that scanner is not listed, then the scanner driver is not being seen or may not be installed.
Once it has been verified that the LiDE 25 is selected, click OK. Next, click the 'Save' button. Check the box for 'Display the Scanner Driver'. Now click the 'Scan' button at the bottom.
The next window that pops up should be ScanGear. If this happens, then everything is installed and the scanner is being detected properly. Attempt to scan or preview.
