NO MANUAL FOR OUR LABTEC ULTRA-FLAT WIRELESS DESKTOP

Hello. We bought this item in Sweden in 2005 (December) and have only just unpacked it ! Everything seems to be functioning correctly though we can't find a set of instructions either on the CD (now installed) or a hard copy in the box. We bought it on the assumption that we could type Swedish characters without lots of fiddling about, and while the keys are there (for the three Swedish Letters with accents) we don't know how to set the keyboard to make these appear. Can you possibly help in some way ? Many thanks. Tony.

Yes, we use Windows etc. The problem is that the three Swedish letters, å, ä and ö which are placed on [, ] and ' cannot be used directly when I type them. I have to go via NUM-lock, Alt and the figures 134, 132 and 148 respectively. This I can already do on my ordinary keyboard so it seems a waste of time having a special keyboard if it doesn't function on direct contact. Can you help, please!

It is not the keyboard it is the operating system and word processing system. Are you using Windows and Microsoft office?

Sorry for the delay I was not notified of your comment. I would recommend buying the Swedish language pack for Microsoft office which can be found HERE. This will allow you to type in Swedish in Microsoft office only. They do not appear to have a Swedish conversion pack for windows Xp.
Take Care,

Sounds like a driver issue, try uninstalling the driver and software for the k/b and mouse and reinstalling them. Also there may be a newer version of drivers on the Labtec website

Labtec wireless desktop.

Could be radio interference from somewhere. I tracked my similar mouse problem down to emissions from the ethernet adapter that connects over the house mains wiring. Try the using the mouse close to the receiver, if it works ok interference is likely.
