make sure you use a data cable (4 wires) not a charging cable (2 wires)

if you want to use the spkr phone for a call, once call is placed, push the upper right 'dot' button on the keypad to turn speaker on and off, ( I don't believe you can use it for music, you have to have a set of head phones for that. ( I cud be wrong on that one.))
