Dear,

The small notch in usb device socket under the mouse could be malfunctioning. If you press this notch you will find the mouse red light blink. If you further try pressing this notch at some point the mouse red light comes on constantly. Thats it, hold it there and try to connect first by pressing the usb device connect switch and then the mouse connect switch. The moment the connection is made the usb device stops blinking and the red light on the mouse starts blinking. Wow, it works now. Some one might just open the mouse and fix this microswtich for a permanent solution.

My dell latop k\b some of the keys are not working.

Pick up a can of compressed air (called Duster at most hardware stores) and try blowing out the keyboard. If that doesn't work, you can pry off the keys using a butter knife or a screwdriver (careful not to break the hinges) for the keys that are not working to see if you can find anything keeping the key from being pressed down (NOTE: Even hair is thick enough to mess with the keys), if that doesn't work I would suspect a problem with the keyboard. You can take it into a repair facility for a proper cleaning for a small fee, but you may need to get a replacement keyboard and install it. You can find them on ebay all day long if you search for your model number, or you could go through dell.com. Just be sure to contact the seller (if using ebay) to ensure that the keyboard you want to buy is compatible with YOUR model of computer, if not usually they'll suggest one that is.

USB light for microsoft 3000 wireless keyboard/mouse not turning on. Keyboard and mouse not responding at all. Tried everything I could think of.

Go to Microsoft/help/support.com and you should find a solution. Sounds like you don't have the right hardware or a bad software pack. Also make sure the computer recognizes it. Try another keyboard if you have access to one. You'll probably have to go to another computer to get instructions and print then out and maybe you can do it with a mouse if it works and another keyboard doesn't work. If you can get another keyboard to work and download the drivers for the 3000 make sure the 3000 is plugged into the computer when you download the driver for the 3000.. They do have downloads for the 3000 I just went and looked and the last keyboard I had was a 3000 and I downloaded files from Microsoft. Hope this cures your Microsoft headache; dhgill1949

My dell keyboard with blue tooth connection

If there is no light on the Bluetooth keyboard it means there is a problem with it.

If the Bluetooth keyboard is not responding try to do the following:

1. Change batteries
2. Go to control panel
3. Click Bluetooth Icon
4. Delete the Bluetooth Keyboard
5. Click on Add new wireless device
6. Press the pairing device on the keyboard
7. Bluetooth keyboard will be detected
8. Follow the onscreen instructions

Hope this helps, Tried it several times and it works perfectly

Keyboard stops working. Works after USB is

Try to plug it in different usb port, could be that port is bad. or it seems there is no good contacts between the keyboard and the port.

Thanks for using Fixya
