"888" on the older version of the drawers (pre-2007) meant that the unit has one or both thermistors were out of normal range. The main control board will blink code as well. You can normally see it through the bottom grill. One blink for evaporator thermsitor, two blinks for display thermistor and three for both.

Viking VCRB 364 LSS Refrigerator will not cool


return air ducts are freezing up in the freezer they are behind the rear wall of the freezer, unplug and defrost these ducts with a blow dryer for now , viking has a duct heater retrofit that will solve your problem, good luck

The right door won't stay closed


There is a recall on Viking refrigerator hinges. Check and see if your refrigerator falls under this recall. It may just require a new hinge. The recall hotline # is 888-345-2650.

You call also see if it falls in this category.
VCSB483, DDSB483, DFSB483, DTSB483 Date codes before 030104 (on serial # ). Go to this site to see if you fall under the recall.
