Every car seat is very different, you will need to read the owners manual if you do not have one anymore here is the email to the manufacture to send for one pm@cosatto.com

in general though most seats have a slot under the seat where the baby's legs would go for the rear facing installation which, is required by this infant seat, but to be used safely please please consult the owners manual and rad it for sure, as if not put in properly your child can be seriously injured or killed in the case of an accident

your best bet if you need it in now, is to find a car seat check place near you and have them install it properly, they will also show you how to do it properly too
this link should help
http://www.seatcheck.org/

most police stations and dealerships will do it for you on appointment only basis so contact them as well

just make sure if you go to a car seat check you have your vehicle's owners manual as they / you should refer to it for proper seating of carseats in your vehicle generally center rear is the safest for infants, but not all cars have a LATCH hook up in the center, in which case if they are only on the sides, the drivers side is much safer then the passengers side seating position.

What cars does the nania d9 fit

Hi

We recommend a physical fitting of any carseat / carseat base prior to purchase to confirm suitability.

With a carseat that is fitted with 3 point seatbelt there is no way of being able to confirm 100% suitability without a physical fitting as there is no standard length for seatbelts / seatbelt webbing so it can vary widely even between two vehicles of the same make, model and year of manufacture. Contact your local retailer and request a carseat fitter trained member of staff provides physical fitting in your vehicle.

Straps have been washe and need to know how to putr back together

Hi

The harness straps should not be removed from the carseat shell due to the safety implications of them being re-fitted incorrectly. The carseat would need to be sent to the engineers for re-fitting the harness. What country are you in and we can direct you to the relevant customer care team to discuss this with.

Where do I get Maxi cosi replacement straps for car seats?

Hi

Due to safety implications of a carseat harness being incorrectly fitted they cannot be sent out as spare part items. To replace a carseat harness the carseat would need to be sent to Maxi Cosi engineers.

Please visit www.maxi-cosi.com and select the country you're in, then choose "Contact Us" on the right side of the page for your enquiry to go through to the customer care team in your country who can further assist.

Hi
It sounds as though you have an original Creatis carseat not the CreatisFix. The original Creatis carseat is not compatible with the CreatisFix base and is fitted into the car using the 3 point seatbelt only. We would recommend you return to the shop where you purchased the item to discuss this issue further with them.

What kind of infant seat will fit a ford focus st3, 56 plate?

Good Morning

Please take your vehicle to your nearest authorised carseat retailer (such as Mothercare, Toys R Us, Halfords, or a number of other retailers) and ask for a carseat fitter trained member of staff to provide a physical fitting for you to determine the most suitable carseat for your vehicle that meets your needs (whether it is travel system compatible etc) and that can be safely and securely fitted into your vehicle.

I have a second hand rear facing maxi cosi car seat and need to find out how to install this properly? Please send me instructions or installation guide etc.....

Hi Vanessa - We cannot recommend you use a 2nd hand carseat for exactly this reason. A carseat fitted with a 3 point seatbelt requires a physical fitting from a trained member of staff prior to purchase to ensure suitability, and to demonstrate to you how to correctly install it in your car to ensure your child is safe. Please attend an authorised retailer and ask for a carseat fitting from a trained member of staff to establish the most suitable carseat for you and your vehicle and to ensure you know how to fit it correctly.

Broke the plastic button which release's the straps on my cosi maxi can i buy another one - dont want to buy a new car seat??

Good Evening

The red button is not something available as a spare part that can be sent out for customers to replace themselves due to the safety implications of it being incorrectly fitted; to replace this button the carseat needs a new harness, which must be fitted by our engineers. If your carseat is under 2 years old this is still covered by the warranty, please return the carseat to your retailer with your proof of purchase and they will make arrangements for it to be sent to our engineers for full inspection and any repair work required (in this instance, a replacement harness will be fitted). After full safety checks the carseat will be sent back. Alternatively if the carseat is over 2 years old or you do not have your proof of purchase please contact our customer service department on 01284 413141 (Mon - Fri, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm) and the standard charge for repair is £50 which includes courier delivery of the carseat back to your address; in addition to this you would need to make arrangements and cover costs for the carseat to be sent to the engineers. Hope this helps! Thanks :)

How to fit a maxi cosi cabrio car seat - note it is the old style not the new cabriofix

Hi,

To fit the Cabrio (with seat belts only), follow these steps:
Note that you will have three metallic looking blue seatbelt hooks (made of plastic) on the Cabrio. One is at the back to carseat (directly behind the childs head) and also there is one either side of the child (when seated in the carseat), these hooks are used to slip the seat belt into and therefore secure the seat.
Placing the carseat facing the rear windscreen of the car - if this is in the front seat, then ensure that your airbag is disabled if you have one. If this is not possible, then DO NOT use the front seat.
Ensure that the carseat handle is clicked into the 'carrying' position, upright.
Taking the seatbelt in your hands, slip the lapbelt through the two blue hooks which are either side of baby and then click the seatbelt into the buckle. Pull firmly so it's nice and taut, hold onto the carseat when you are pulling the seatbelt.
Whilst taking the slack with one hand, take the shoulder seatbelt and loop through the third blue hook (located on the back of the carseat) and again pull firmly whilst holding onto the carseat.
When you attempt this, practice without the baby in as this is much easier to do.

Finally, check that the buckle of your seatbelt is not resting too high or on an angle of the cabrios plastic shell, as this is considered dangerous and is called 'buckle crunch', for more information on this, please see the link below, which explains with images:

I hope this helps.

Hi,

If you purchased the carseat without the bars, then this is a Cabrio and not a CabrioFix carseat, and nothing can be done to adapt this to become a CabrioFix.

I hope this helps.
