The driver for your capture device isn't installed or is not properly installed. I would download the latest driver from the manufacturers website.

Hi,

I believe that you have to instruct the software from where it should be receiving the video signal. Pls try in your video capture software (Ulead), pls go to the Options menu, click on the Capture Property Settings, Select yourInput Source (S-Video or the Yellow RCA). Other than that, it should be pretty straightforward.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

How to turn on the web cam

make sure the webcam is installed and detected ..(not disabled ) To do so ,,get into the device manager by right click on eh computer icon ..and select properties ..than select device manager ..In there look for the image devices..and locate the web cam ..It should be present by name and in plane black text ..If it got a yellow mark on it ..it means it has no driver and the reinstalling is necessary ,
In this case run the driver from the driver disk that came with the computer . or take a look in the recovery area (partition ) if it has a driver sector and engage it from there..or just download teh driver from teh support site and run it into computer ..
before getting to reinstalling the camera you should try to click right on it in device manager ..and select to enable if it is disabled..than select the update driver ..and let it get its driver automatically cause it should still have it in the system ..if it loads OK ..just restart it ..and enjoy ..The capture should work with the features in the parallel portal ..or if you start the am cap program in the all programs list ..
You should also have the camera in My computer folder and be able to take snaps from it ..
The main function of teh web camera is to send images on a instant messaging program ..so to check if it works try it in yahoo messenger or msn live ..or skype ..Always make a set-up of the devices (audio and video ) before starting a video call ..
Good luck ! and please rate my answer.

Error during capture error code 800706f8

The very first step is of course to check your webcam connection. Most webcams use the USB port to connect to the PC, so check if your USB cable is properly plugged. For build-in webcams this steps does of course not apply. Many new laptops have a build-in webcam. Also try connecting your webcam directly to your PC instead of through a USB hub (if you are using one).
The next thing is to do is to check your Windows Device Manager and see if the hardware is recognized and installed properly.
It might be that the hardware is recognized as a camera, but the right drivers are not installed. The yellow explanation mark will indicate a problem.
windows-xp-other-device.jpg If the device is not recognized in Windows XP, it will be listed under Other Devices.
windows-vista-device-error.jpg In either case you can try to update the drivers. Right-click the device, and in the popup menu select Update Driver Software. Then follow the instructions on screen, but make sure you allow Windows to search the web for updated drivers.
In case no driver for the webcam can be found, you can try a third party driver finding program that scans your PC for installed hardware and allows you to install missing drivers.
If this fails, the next step would be to uninstall the software that came with your webcam. Use the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel. If that does not work you can use a third party uninstaller.
After uninstalling the software, restart your PC and then reinstall the webcam software. In most cases this will solve the problems. Depending on the software, you might need to unplug your webcam during the software installation.
If the drivers and webcam software are correctly installed, and you still cannot see any video, there can be a problem with the program settings. Most chat and meeting software have a configuration option to select the video source for the webcam feature. If you have multiple devices that qualify for video, you might need to select your webcam device as the source for the webcam feature in that program.
Some webcams and programs require additional software, although that should be installed with the webcam if things are right. But is does not harm to check if your Java, Flash and Quicktime software are installed and up to date. But certainly check your DirectX software, since all video applications, including webcams, use DirectX for video processing. Try downloading the latest DirectX version and install it (Windows XP: DirectX 9.0c - Windows Vista: DirectX 10).
Lastly, if your webcam's image is not sharp, check to see if it has a focus ring. A blurry image can sometimes simply mean the webcam is not in focus. Adjusting the focus through the ring can solve that problem.
Other picture quality problems with webcams can be addressed by changing the video capture properties for the webcam. Most programs that can use a webcam will have an option to access the properties of the video source, which will bring up the video capture properties window.
video-capture-properties.jpg Do keep in mind that not all settings will be enabled depending on the webcam and the webcam driver installed on your computer. In the example you can see that some settings are disabled. The example shows the video capture properties for an Acer Crystal Eye webcam.
What else to try: download missing webcam drivers! If you are using your webcam for instant messaging with one of the popular chat programs, have a look at EatCam, which allows you to record your webcam chats from MSN, YM, ICQ, Skype, AIM and a few more!

Easy cap video capture win7 no drivers

Need driver and bios updates?

Always get your drivers and specific software from the manufacturer of your Laptop, Notebook or Desktop. They are usually free of charge.

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, usually one is able to download if available, by model number, All available Driver downloads as required.

If the driver is not available, perhaps your manufacturer does not support the OS you are installing.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

I hope this helps.

EasyCap DC60 USB 2.0 video capture records good video quality from VHS tapes but the audio is corrupted, sounds like the audio is being played underwater. PC is a P4 dual core with 3Gb RAM and 500Gb HDD....

U Tube has a host of fixes, but none worked for me.

One suggests popping the cover off and checking the terminal where the A/V connections go into the little PC board while listening for improvements.

Another tries other USB ports, another thinks you need to uninstall the whole thing, reboot, then
creep around in the memory startup variables and get rid of it all,

Still wondering if the damn things are mega defective. Pictures are real nice though.
