You either have a blown speaker or the amplifier in the radio has gone bad. Sometimes a blown speaker will act as an additional ground thus grounding out the radios internal amp. Check your speaker by hooking them to an external audio source. If you do have a blown speaker once it is removed all working speakers should play. Speakers should be replaced in pairs. If they all work its the radio itself. It will need to be replaced.

Your best bet here would be to contact one of these authorized dealers for advice I think.

Blown speaker cones can be fixed by Elmers glue and tissue paper, without performance degradation.Overheated coils can be rewound by the speaker manufacturer.

your right speaker may be blown. have you been playing music really loud lately? blown speakers really cant be fixed. youd be best off getting new speaker.

Remove blown horn speaker and take it to a electronic shop and asked them to check with special speaker meter to see the condition of speaker widings.

the speaker may have blown.
to test it look inside is there any tears in the fabric part of the speaker?
is there any loose or disconnected wires?
if thats not the case the speaker still may have blown out look on ebay for a new one

The Sub gets it's output from the pre-amp circuit, whereas the components get their output from the main amp circuit in the unit.

Sounds like it could be a short in the speaker wiring or a blown speaker. Check all wiring to the speakers.

Check all speaker wires from the unit to the speakers.

First check that each pair of speaker terminals at the speaker end is not touching. Or, a wire fell of 1 terminal to rest on another.

Best way to check if it's a blown speaker or a wiring short, is to disconnect all speaker connections ( at the speaker end ) making sure the disconnected wires don't touch each other or any metal in the car. press the reset on the unit and power up. If the unit powers up ok, then its a blown speaker.

Otherwise it's a short in the wiring.

If it's a blown speaker, you can connect 1 speaker at a time and the blown 1 will send the unit into protect mode again.

If it's the wiring, disconnect the unit from the wiring and use and ohm meter to check each pair of cables. A reading suggests a short.

If you don't have an ohm meter a battery and bulb will do. This method usually works on a short.

If you have no joy with either method, take each speaker wire in turn and check with a source of earth (anything metal connected directly to the body of the car, cigar lighter main body when pulled slightly out is good)

Any speaker, if abused, can be blown. And if overdriven with dirty power at extreme levels it is not uncommon to burn out the voice coil. You might also want to check out the speaker surrounds. If they go, the speaker works but sounds lousy.

Localize the problem by hooking up two known good working speakers and see what happens. If they also do not work properly or sound like cr-p then the radio is at issue.

Voice coil has been blown open. Most likely alot of times what I do to test a speaker is connect it to a 9 volt battery. on and off and the speaker should bounce. If not speaker is blown. Plus this way you could save yourself lots of problems. If the speaker was shorted and not blown open. You would now possible have a blown amp and home stereo.
