Hi there, I have a Pentax Optio M20, which I bought for my daughter 9/12/2006. The camera was accidentally dropped while it was "ON". Its lens was out when it dropped. Now the lens is stuck/locked in the out position and on an angle. I need to find out where I can take it to get fixed, if it fixable. Hoping you can help. Sandra

Replace the camera is the best thing - it is not likely to be able to be fixed. And worse the 'Repairer' if found will charge for telling you it cant be fixed

I have a box full of dropped digital cameras. So far haven't been able to locate a trouble shooting info source. I am told that this is the worst thing to happen short of dropping in the water.
This kind of problem seems, may only leave one solution and that is to sell it at some site such as Ebay for parts, as is, or repair.
After saying that, you can try a wall transformer made for that camera. If the camera starts with an adapter, it could have a problem in the battery circuit.
Maybe. But it does seem to be a lens problem. Possibly the lens is out of sync as mentioned in another post here.If there is a grinding, the lens is probably damaged by dirt or sand. Make sure the batteries or battery is fully charged.
i got it!!! on my cam i hold down the menu button at the same time power on, it will showup a " ver 1.00" and lens move a little maybe u have to do it 2 times but second time it should work
