i expect that some of the digit in that particular cellphone is not working. if you want to clean your key pad then you need to open it. removed the battery cover, the battery, back cover, untill you see the 6 screws that holds the front cover. Removing the screw will automatically remove the front cover and will show you the key pad. if you want to check the digit which is not working then you fix the battery and holding it firmly press the power On button. assuming that you already know what digit is not working then you can proceed by removing the plastic cover of the keypad and by using pencil eraser you can clean it.. from 0 - 9....
Hello thereThe phone you are using is same as mine, yes last year my phone also having this problem but I have solve it by formatting my phone. So, try format it by using the short code *#7370#.Good luck. Thanks for visiting fixya
IF you know how to open phone. you can do it.
clean all key button with alcohol(91 % alcohol normally used for first aid)
that will remove all sticky material.
and you will have your phone works.
try to play the music files to your computer, if the sound is low quality, then try another audio file (mp3, wav, wma, etc.) and about the mass memory, it can be removed.. and when you remove the mass memory you may or can format it.
If You haven't already, open the phone remove the battery and SIM. I believe you can also remove the front face plate and key pad. Make sure the contacts behind the key pad are dry as well as the underside of the pad itself. Leave the cover and face plate off to allow to dry for as long as possible.
If the phone was too wet it may not recover. If it does not you will have to replace it.
The cheapest option is a go phone. You can get the Nokia 6010 refurbished online at Cingular for $29.95 and use your current SIM and will be good to go. When you order You will need to select a go phone plan but you do not need to activate it.
