Hi,
Providing the CD Rom, is the same software as the sound-card.
If the sound card, is a seperate ( Add-On ) the drivers cd should accompany the card. if there are no drivers with the card. you can usually visit the manufacturers website ( Support centre ) And download the Drivers.
Additionally, you may have to disable the on-board sound-card ( Via The Bios ) and instruct the computer to start up, with the required or installed card.
If you are running an operating system, such as Windows XP, it should automatically detect and install the best drivers for the device. although you may not get full functionability.
If you install from CD Rom, ensure the card is installed first, then insert the CD, and open to find the Icon ( setup.exe Or Similar )

This depends on the sound card in question. Some sound cards have a packaged software you just run off the CD which will install the drivers as well as some software program for the sound card itself.

Some sound cards have just packaged drivers on the CD which has to be installed through "Device Manager" in Windows.

Onboard sound cards have software and/or drivers packaged with the "Motherboard CD"

Most people don't use the package CD drivers as they might be out of date. As there usually are updates for drivers on the Internet. Just need to check the manufacturer of the sound card or the motherboard which the sound card is part of.

For getting the sound card and the other drivers for your software, first of all you have to know the type of motherboard you are using and the model number of it without that it is not possible to get the drivers. Install the Driver Max software from www.drivermax.com, it will search for the hardware present and provides drivers links for the related hardware in your computer.

I delete my sound card and now I don't have sound on my PC. I don't know, what to do.

If you have the sound card cd, insert it in your cd drive and install software and drivers otherwise go to control panel, click add/remove hardware and have it detect any new hardware automatically...if it asks for sound card cd, insert it in your cd drive and install drivers....try to update your driver by going to the sound card manufacturerse websitethen download and install latest software and drivers....

I have no sound after i had formatted my pc

I am assuming you don't have the CD Rom for sound driver installation , am I right ? you can get a Sound Blaster or Creative CD rom to install the sound drivers, etc. If you do have the CD Rom the file for your sound system could be hidden somewhere in your computer. Do a "search" on your Start button search for the sound software it originally had.

Toshiba DVD ROM SD M1302 driver

If you are using Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, NT or XP, and have an ATAPI/IDE CD/DVD drive, there is no driver needed (see Toshiba statement I have posted below). Under no circumstances, if DVD is properly installed and functional, will you need ANY driver!

If your DVD drive is a SCSI drive, then it may need drivers specific to the SCSI card you have installed (see the specs/manual or website for your card). You may also need the Adaptec SCSI setup, available at this address:

http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/suppbyproduct.jsp?sess=no&language=English+US&cat=%2FTechnology%2FSCSI+Software&fromPage=driverindex

or use this address if you have a LOGIC based SCSI card or device:

http://www.lsilogic.com/

Now, if you meet the criteria for the first paragraph I wrote, and your PC does not load the driver automatically (after a reboot or two) then you have a PHYSICAL or HARDWARE problem. Either the DVD drive is improperly cabled, improperly installed or defective.

Those are all your options. See below, from Toshiba website
good luck

ATAPI CD-ROM and DVD Drivers

Toshiba's CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives do not require any unique device drivers for Windows '95/'98/2000/XP/NT.
After installing your drive and re-booting, your system should recognize your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM. Win '95/'98/2000/XP/NT Operating Systems support all Toshiba ATAPI CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives natively.

DOS/Windows 3.x Device Drivers

This device driver is to be used with DOS/Windows 3.x operating systems. Do not use this driver with Windows '95, Windows '98, XP or Windows 2000 unless you are going to use your system in the REAL or MS-DOS Modes. Device drivers for Windows '95, Windows '98, Windows 2000, XP, OS/2, and NT operating systems are provided with the installation or setup software of each operating system.

DOS ATAPI Interface Driver
If you prefer using DOS click the link below to download a MS-DOS ATAPI interface driver.
atapi.exe

SCSI CD-ROM and DVD Drivers

SCSI interface drivers are written for the SCSI card you are using in your system, by the SCSI card manufacturer. They are not specific to your Toshiba drive and are not provided by Toshiba. If during installation Windows can not find the correct SCSI software driver for your SCSI card and you do not have the software driver that came with your SCSI card, contact your SCSI host adapter manufacturer.

Adaptec SCSI Drivers
LSI Logic (Symbios) SCSI Drivers
DVD Viewing Software

Toshibas DVD drives require a third party software to be installed in your system to enable you to view DVD movies. If you purchased your drive as part of a kit, the software may have been included. The links below will provide some possible solutions should you not have this type of software.

Sound Drivers

you have to download the sound drivers and install the software..can't give you the exact driver as haven't specified much about your PC.
still try to download one of the common driver like realtek- Ac97... from the following URL ..
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

or try to download other audio drivers and install it...your problem would be fixed.

hope to get rated as fixed...
