When i try and print something it says the local service spooler isn't running.

Try to uninstall the Lexmark driver and download an updated driver online. Just go to http://bit.ly/UmL4pl and choose the operating system of your computer.

If it doesn't help, check your print spooler if it's running. To do that, on your computer, click on Start > Run > type in Services.msc > OK > look for Print Spooler and make sure that it's started.

what error message do you get, if it just says the service isn't started then go press with windows key and the r key at the same time. in the run box type services.msc and press enter. scroll down the list until you find print spooler service and right click and click start service, and make sure it's set to automatic.

Rebooting the PC will restart the Print Spooler service, if this isn't an option go to:

Start>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services find Print Spooler in the list and right click and select Stop then right clikc and select Start

Try the steps below to clear the print queue and restart your print spooler:

1. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET STOP SPOOLER (this will stop the print spooler service)

2. Browse to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder. You should see files there ending in .SPL and .SHD created around the time you tried to print - delete these files.

3. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in NET START SPOOLER (this will restart the print spooler service)

Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Check in control panel->administrative tools->services

This will show all services, running or not, that are installed on your pc. You are looking for the one called "Print Spooler" double click on its entry in the list and set it to automatic if it isn't already.

This is JISHKUMAR, U need to click on dependencies tab.this u will get it when u double click on print spooler.just look which are the services under dependencies..whatever services you will find just go to that services and start them and then start print spooler service. this will 101% solve your problem
