Question about Computers & Internet
In all my experience im certain that either it is one of the following two problems.
1. The IDE or SATA cable physically connecting your optical device to the computer is not connected properly please check these by opening up your computer case and locating the reverse side of the optical drive and making sure both ends are connected , one to the motherboard and two in the backside of the optical drive.
2. The optical drive is faulty and will need to be replaced
all modern optical drives are detected by plug and play and judging by your previous attempts to install the device it's one of these problems.
