hi barry your graphics card is probably damaged you can buy graphics cards online that you put into pci-express slot inside of pc you could try that other wise you could need another motherboard..look on youtube.com on how to install graphics card just type that into youtube searh box....make sure your pc has pci-express or it might have an AGP connection google it and see what you come up with

Canon scanner, when I scan and open doc in office word its all jumbled and I cant edit.System Windows Vista home prem. thanks

Check the resolution of your scanner because this would effect what you see on your computer monitor. Maybe using a lower resolution would work for you or try scanning complex images as pictures. Good Luck

Computer wont turn on or boot

what size power supply are you using, if its under 400 watts it may just be under powered. Large video cards 512mb and over take a lot of power. Try removing the video card and see if you can get the pc to power up, hopefully you have on board video.

How did you blow the cpu_fan connector, did you short it out? I would first supect the power supply is under rated, second a blown power supply, or mother board.

Acer9303 i have aproblem with the screen.sometimes when you turn on the computer the screen doesnt work and you have to move the lid to make it work.other times if you move the screen it goes white and you...

This is normally a screen cable problem. You must contact a computer technician to check the cable for you. If it needs to be changed, you will be told. Since it works when you move the lid, it should only be a cable problem.

My hotmail account screen is all jumbled up

Hi
What Browser are you using to open your hotmail account?
Sometimes, you nees to install some components which are necessary to open certain web pages.
I think you should try different Browsers like: Mozilla & Opera. Then make sure again of your account.

ADVENT KC550P Lap Top scren

the pc is standing at command prompt, which means it is unable to find the boot.ini file required to boot into windows

When you say you pressed F8 did you keep pressing it until you got a menu saying Safe Mode, last known good configuration, start in VGA mode etc, if so use last known good configuration and let it reboot.

If still nothing then you will need the windows cd to perform a system repair.

Monitor screen froze & displayed jumbled colours. PC won't boot up now - screen disolayed is distored & then goes blank. PC won't then power down using on/off button on base unit.

Your video cards is the issue. To be sure, if you have another video with the same connector (PCI, AGP, or PCI-E Slot) try a different card. If they are ok, then you know. If not, then I'll would look for a port tester for that graphics slot. I've seen Port tester for PCI. I'm not sure about the others. Can't hurt to look.
