Maytag top loader won't agitate. will fill and spin

Hello,

Try this:
When the washer should be agitating, try turning your load size switch back and forth a few times. If you are on a medium load, going to a larger load should cause it to begin filling again, going to a smaller size should start the motor for agitate. If this works, your pressure / water level sense switch is okay, but the switch for load size is faulted / or is on its way out. If you went from a medium load, to a higher load, then your pressure switch is faulted as well.

How do you select the load size on the Maytag Bravos Top load washer?

This machine is equipped with technology that allows it to sense the load size and will use the appropriate amount of water for that load. Takes the guesswork out!

LSE7806A stack: the wash fills to the water level/load size selected. it starts to agitate then stops and begins to fill with water again which causes overflow, help please

Your fill sensor is leaking and allowing air pressure from the clear tube to seep out. First make sure your clear tube from the tub to the water level valve is firmly connected. If it is then you may need to get a new water level adjuster switch.

Washing Machine wont recoginze the load amount to fill with water, ex..small, med, it justs keep filling up to the brim??

Sounds like your problem is one of three things. Most common is that you have to "reset" the water level. This is done by turning the water level knob passed the large load size, and then down to small. Any time you want to go to a smaller sized load, you have to do this. Another possibility is that the pressure switch is bad, this is an easy fix (although not as easy as the reset) The switch can be purchased thru a local parts supply house. And the last thing could be a bad water valve. This will leak and continue to fill the washer after it is already full, this however is usually followed with water all over the floor. If it is not the reset, write me back and I'll walk you thru the other repairs. Hope this helps!

Washer didnt fill when turned on, but filled when holding "reset"

sounds like your water level switch is bad OR the small hose that goes from the waterlevel switch to the bottom of the tank has a hole in it.Try replacing this small hose first.you can go to an auto parts store and match it up.it's usually about 3' long and about 1/4" inside diameter and about 99cents a foot.

Top load washer when you start cycle no water and it starts to agitate does it on all cycles

Hi, It could be faulty timer, the knob you turn to select cycles(programs) or faulty water level switch, the knob or button you select the water temperature, or size of water level, it depends on brand of machine. check water level switch by lifting top of machine, you will see tub, look at back you will see a small tube coming from wiring harness, where controls are, that tube comes from switch to connection on side of tub, remove tube from tub connection, wipe it, put in your mouth and blow air into it, you should hear a click sound whenever you blow into it, sometimes could get stuck, connect tube back to tub, manually fill with water, just a little above half, then start machine from the beginning of any program, let it complete to the end, then try it normally to see if it does the same thing, if it does, you will need a mechanic to check timer and pressure switch. good luck.

Wont run unless it is a mid sized load.

You either have a problem with your water level selector switch or you have debris in your tube.. if you know how to take your washer apart you can check the tube... or if you can take out the console where the water level switch is unplug the tube from switch.. blow tube and plug back onto switch.. see if that works.. if the tube has a crack replace it.. good luck...

Maytag washing machine model PAV3360AWW won't stop water on selected water level.

It sound like you have a bad float switch and it is not reading the water level right. If it is filling and wont stop then a possible new water valve is in order:) The float switch is locatted under the top panel of washer

Maytag PAV2300 Top load washer

check your hose from the side of the tub all the way up to the water selector knob. if its loose or has even a pin sized hole in it, it will cause the maching not to sense it has reached the level selected.
