Question about Dell Inspiron 1150 Latitude D600 14.1 LCD Display-LP141X14 CD-ROM Drive
My CD-ROM drive wasnt recognizing that cds or even trying to run them. It use to make that noise when it ran but then it just stopped doing anything. It did one day come completely out of the laptop when it dropped onto the floor. I dont know if that could have anything to do with it. Also could that be connected to the BSOD? My computer one day just wouldnt start up, there was just the blue screen of death.
If your computer got dropped it is possible that you had a head strike on the plater of the hard drive which would have damaged the data there and cause the hard drive start to slow fail has media started to flake off in the drive. So you may need to replace the hard drive.
Also the link below will show the important info in the blue screen to help better seee what is going on.
