Question about PC Desktops
I would try getting the power supply checked first. Also if the fans are working. If fans aren't working the pc will shut down as a default safety feature.
It could be a corrupt mbr (master boot record). If the fans are working try placing your pc on some books to allow complete air flow and point a house fan on it. See if it stays on longer. Then you'll know if its an overheating issue which it sounds like it. But doesn't mean it is! Let me know if you don't make any progress on this if you want to and we go from there.
