Most laptops nowadays have the recovery built right into the laptop, saved into the hard drive. This makes things more convenient!
Done! Hope that helps!
There is no restore to factory default option for laptops or PCs for that matter the only option if you cant get rid of the viruses, is to re install the Operating System. You might try downloading Malwarebytes and installing that and running a scan with it to get rid of the viruses first before re installing the operating system

Bottom line- You can't. Unlike other electrical equipment there is no magic "factory reset" button. You need at least an OS install disc and a back-up of the drivers. At one time the discs were supplied with PC's but this very rarely happens and the paperwork supplied normally advises you make your own back up discs before you get carried away, but it very rarely happens.
It may be worth looking at why you wish to restore to original, is it necessary?
Asus has become one of the "Top 5" computer manufacturers worldwide.
CNET attributes this growth to the Netbook craze.
The company's name comes from the last four letters of "Pegasus," the winged horse from Greek Mythology.
You can restore your Asus laptop to the original factory settings in about five minutes.
Restart your ASUS laptop and press the "F9" key while the computer is booting up.
This will open the boot screen. Select "Recover Windows to Entire HD" and press "Enter."
Press "Y" three times when asked if you are sure that you want to restore.
The laptop will restore the factory settings.
The computer will then shut down and start up again.
Approve the license agreement, then select your "Language preference."
Enter your name into the box and click "Next."
Enter your password twice on the next screen and select "Next."
Enter the time zone and date information, then select "Next." Select "Finish" on the next screen and the computer will reboot.
hope this helps
