I am having with e-mail only. However it doesn't hold a battery charge as long as it did either.

Rechargeable batteries have a finite lifetime. As they age, they slowly wear out and it is normal for them to not hold a charge as long as they used to. If it gets so the battery is only lasting an hour or two, having a new battery installed is probably your only viable option. Five years is probably old enough so that battery will not be near as long-lasting as it was when new.

New tablet only using up to three hours and battery needs charging is this normal.

Yes, that's pretty normal. You can make it lasting longer just by lowering brightness.

I'm attempting to charge the battery but after 20 minutes is been no response. does the battery need to be replaced?

Couple questions: Is the battery three or more years or older? If not a maintenance free battery, is it full of water (if you can easily remove the caps, it is NOT maintenance free). How dead it is? Have you taken any measurements? Voltage should be 12 volts and acid should read 1200 on a fully charged battery. The charger you are using, what is its capacity? Most vehicle batteries can produce 300 amps or more when charged. If you have a 10 amp charger it would take 30 hours at 10 amps to fully charge a 300 amp battery. The battery on my vehicle is rated at 1000 amps just for a point of reference.

At 20 minutes I wouldn't expect to see much change in the condition of a dead battery with a consumer grade charger. If the battery is out of the vehicle, I suggest you take it to your local auto parts store to have it tested. If it needs charged, they may be able to put some juice in it for you for a couple bucks. If it needs replacement, you have 1/2 the job done and you will not have to worry about the core charge since you have the old battery with you. While you are there, the guy or girl at the counter can probably tell you what the age of the battery is.

If you are keeping this car, I recommend you get a premium battery for your car. The best only costs a couple bucks more.

I hope this answers your battery question.

I lost the adapter/charger and purchased a new one of the same size. The light will work when plugged into the car cig lighter, but not while plugged into the dc adapter (has been plugged in for approx. 3...

The battery life for these lights are for about 2 years at the most if left uncharged. The best way to determine if you need new a new battery or batteries would be to dismantle the light, remove the batteries and check the voltage with a volt meter. If they are dead, you may be able to fine a suitable replacement at: http://www.batterymart.com/c-04-12-volt-sealed-lead-acid-batteries.html

LG viewty ku990 - no battery life and phone gets really hot

So many issues here so lets take one by one.

Phone not charging or goes off before the recommended time means your battery is bad and needs a replacement. Batteries are not serviceable and hence cannot be repaired or fixed. You just have to change it.

PC not recognising USB port is due to an issue with the driver the PC needs to communicate with your phone.

Get the right driver and PC Suite to enable your PC recognize your Phone through the USB

Problem with b130 batteries?

it is very possible that your a/c adaptor/charger is not working well enough to charge or keep you computer runing.
with a new battery you should put it on charge for several hour and charge it to the maximum.
do you know for a fact that the battery is new you put in it?
if the battery is used it may be trash also.
sort out the facts then look for the most obvious.
most obvious at this point it that a/c charger.
