I lost the panel that depicts the fuse. Is anyone famliar with the BRAKE fuse. I would like to check as my BRAKE light is on thank you LilaK

Hi Lila:
If the brake light is on, it is getting power, so the fuse is OK.
I would suggest that you check the brake light switch, as it may be stuck in the on position. Brake light switches can be either on the master cylinder, or sometimes next to the brake pedal linkage under the dash. Chances are yours will be on the master cylinder. To check it, disconnect it. If the brake lights go off, the switch is defective and needs to be replaced.
Hope this helps.

I have a 1 year old kohler command pro ch740s. i pulled plug wire off one side and cant get any spark. i pulled other side off and motor dies. can you tell me what would cause one side not to get any spark

hi there, pauly46 here

from your model type ch730 25 hp 0040 it seems that
this model does not need or use a smart spark ignition module

please check that you dont have a kill wire from your coil groundin somewhere between kill tab on your coil and the ignition switch

then if you still have no spark replace the ignition module
that has no spark - your engine has been running one 1 cyl
as soon you pulled the h t lead off the firing cyl the engine died
that tells you no fire on other side

i am sure these units do not use any diodes fitted between l/h and r/h kill wire tabs leading back to ignition switch , i think these are mainly on briggs vee twin

here is web site for service manual

enter as guest on the site
go to command pro twin
go to service manual section
select SM-24-690-07 ( replaces tp-2450c) from the list
download a copy and print

cheers hope it helps
