Question about PC Desktops
Windows vista wans to update something [i have no idea what]but it wont do it and comes up with 2 error codes:
Make sure that your firewall and antivirus features or programs are turned off (disabled) when installing. It may be better, then, to download the update to your desktop (save instead of open) and then install by double clicking. If you are concerned about potential Internet threats during this brief period, you will need to disconnect from the Internet to install, which will require this type of download and install setup. Please let me know if this is unclear or if you need additional help to do this, including additional details regarding what PC/model and software you are using. It is common that allowing antivirus to run while installing software will cause an install to fail.
If this information assists you in resolving the problem, please take a moment to rate the solution at a "FixYa" level. If you do not feel that you can rate at a "FixYa", please post back with more information regarding what has occurred subsequently and/or more details regarding the situation, and I will gladly help you until we have reached a definitive solution.
