Question about Timex 5J261 Solar Powered Ironman Triathlon 50 Lap Silver and Black Digital Sport Watch with Comfortable Resin Strap
I tried to replace the batt (ML-2016) myself but found that it's rechargeable and hard to find. Found it online and waited 2 wks for delivery. Took it to a local watch repair. Now the watch won't function properly. It stops functioning when I push the Indiglo button. Tech says it's a short. So, who can test it or is it worth fixing? Getting the back off requires removing the rubber wrist band and it's hard to put back on. I got the watch as a gift and am trying to save it.
I have the same problem with my watch. I replaced the ML-2016 battery myself. (which I found at Walmart) But when I press the iniglo button, it just stops the clock and I have to press the start/split button to get it to resume. No idea how to get the problem resolved
