if you could supply me with a little more information regarding the error code and what exactly you are trying to do with your printer would help me pin point that error more precisely .... ok

The exact meaning of this error code ( 006-370 ) is <IOT ROS Motor Failure>. The SOS signal does not come from the ROS ASSEMBLY. What this means is the printhead, also know as Raster Output Scanner - laser unit. failed to generate a "start-of-scan" or SOS signal.

There is a humidity and temperature sensor in this printer that is designed to prevent the laser from being used in extreamly high humidity situations to prevent damage to the printer. This sensor rarely fails, and that is why it is the least likely cause of a true failure.

If in Fact you are in a high humidity situation. There is nothing wrong with the printer, and it will function normally when taken out of the humidity. Possibly running a dehumidifier in these cases will help. If this is not the case and are certain this is not the problem, then a true hardware failure has occured.

There are 3 possible causes for this failure, and they are listed in the most likely to least likely.

1) the ROS Assembly ( printhead, laser unit )
2) the PWBA MCU ( printed wiring board assembly - Machine control unit ).
3) Sensor assembly. ( humidity and temperature sensor )

in fact when you press the next button it will show IOT 000003 or something like it , which "should" point you in the right direction of the failed component, allthough i have not personally mapped these failures.

Picturemate printer; how do you reset ink pad counter; or how do you get rid of the error message so you can continue printing

Hi

You need a reset ink pad software to get rid of this error message. Since you do not put the printer model and number. Try this link for epson printer only. http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml. If not, use websearch to find your free software resetter for ink pad error message.

Replace Transfer Roller Error Message Will Not Reset After Replac

The transfer roller on this machine comes as an assembly consisting of a waste toner tank and a transfer roller. The message you are getting pops up when this tank is full, regardless of the transfer roller's useable life. There is a window on the back that when blocked by toner, cuts off an optical sensor to tell the machine that the waste toner is full. Just unclip the roller from the side, pop it out, and dump the toner out. Careful though, it's a messy job and you might want to wrap the assembly inside a trash bag while emptying it out.

How can I ignore the low toner error message and print black on a Dell 5100cn?

i believe that if you remove the color toner cartridges, it will stop asking and only print black. you may also be able to specify in the print menu settings to disable the color printing

Dell 5110 004-310 reset printer error

This may not solve your problem but it did mine when I got the "reseat cartridge" error. I had inadvertently ordered the cartridge for the 5100cn, which looks exactly the same as the 5110cn and actually fits if you order the generic version (the Dell 5100cn cartridge looks like the 5110cn but doesn't quite fit).

So, first make sure that you ordered the 5110cn cartridge. (And if you need two opened 5100cn cartridges, I've got them up on ebay :( !!!!)
