If you have an apple, it happens to everyone. If you have a PC, maybe you should try getting someone from the Geek Squad to help you.

Not downloading to computer Kodak easy share C180

Did you install the software and/or drivers before connecting it to your computer? if not, the computer won't recognize the camera. If you don't have the disk that came with the camera, you can get the software for free from Kodak's website. Download the software and drivers, then reconnect the camera to the pc with it turned on. That should solve your problem.

Good luck!

After downloading pictures with the "erase after downloading" box checked it starts to erase the pictures as expected, but hangs at pic 37. Is the memory card faulty, or is it a software bug?

I'm not sure what's causing that problem, but it will be much faster each time you download photos to not erase after downloading. Instead, find the option on your camera to format the card, and it will erase everything on the card in one process. It's much faster.

Have you downloaded the Kodak Easyshare software? It will be easier to transfer picture from the camera to the computer also easyshare software has feature to enchance picture download not to mention that you can send picture thru email using the esayshare software. To download the software visit www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw.

Transferring pictures/videos with the USB cable
1
Turn off the camera.
2 Plug the labeled end of the USB cable into the USB port on your computer.
3 Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the camera.
4 Turn on the camera.
Note: EasyShare software opens on your computer. The software prompts you through the transfer process.

If still having issue importing picture from the camera to the computer call Kodak support line at 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK)

I can't find my disc to put easy share on my new laptop so i downloaded it from your website but it says there are problems

Clean install process:

Please follow the steps below: Remove Easyshare Software Click on 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel' -> 'Software' Please choose 'Kodak Easyshare Software' Please choose 'remove' Please click on 'next' when installation wizard shows up Please choose 'remove' and click on 'next' Please click on 'next' to start the removal of your Easyshare Software. Please make sure that all files of your Easyshare Software has been removed from your system successfully. For remaining the progress please go to step 2. Even if you couldn’t remove the software or it is still in the list. For running Kodak Clear Utility: Please go to www.kodak.com/go/clear and follow instructions given on screen. Click on 'download'-button below on screen. Please choose 'open' and follow instructions given on screen. Please choose option 'save as' after choosing the download option to run clear utility from your PC. Please choose a save path. Open file clear5N.exe after file has been saved. Click on green starting arrow. The programme is running now. Please note! Please click on 'Ok' should messages appear for which you only have 'Ok' as an option that will make sure that you still run the programme. Should you been asked to restart your computer, please choose 'NO'. You receive the following message when the programme has finished: 'Easyshare files have been removed. Please reinstall Easyshare after system reboots'. Your computer will be restarted now. This action removes Easyshare Software from your system but it won’t delete any pictures or videos. But there is the possibility that you have to recreate your collection after reinstalling the Software. We recommend to download always the latest version of Kodak Easyshare Software. You have either the option to download the software free of charge by following the link: http://wwwuk.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn026079.jhtml?pq-path=4509

I have a 2004 Canon video camera (mini dv cassette) and a 2007 Macbook. With long-time intentions, I am finally getting around to connecting them, though when I did, the software included with the camera...

You don't specify which model you have, but all models produced in 2004 and later are compatible with Mac X OS 10 operating systems for downloading video. The software that came with the camcorder is primarily for downloading still images, not for video. Go to this link. In the first dropdown, select "Camcorders", and in the second select "MiniDV Camcorders". In the third dropdown, find and select your model and click on GO. In the seach window in the center of the screen type "mac compatibility" and click on Search. You will find several related documents which provide information on downloading video and other topics.

Powershot a710is - connecting to device problem

Have you tried downloading with a different software?
* Picasa is one option (download from www.picasa.com)
Otherwise, you could try and import the photos using Window's Digital Camera Import Wizard

If any of these two methods work, then it is PhotoShot that has the issue. Otherwise, it might be the camera.

BTW, what OS are you using?

Downloading

For Windows 98:

Firstly you need the software CDROM that was supplied with your camera.

Secondly, you need a lead that has a connector on one end that plugs into a socket on your camera and has a USB connector at the other.

If you do not have the software CDROM, go to the manufacturer's website, click support and find a download of the software for your particular camera. If it isn't available you have a problem!

Install the software, it includes a driver which your computer needs so it can recognise your camera. Run the software and follow the on screen instructions. At some point you will need to connect your camera to your computer. Do not connect your camera until your computer tells you to. Use one of the USB sockets. This is a small rectangular shape that will match your lead. If all goes to plan, your computer will display "found new hardware." Just follow the on screen directions. You may be asked to restart your computer at some point, this is normal.

Hope this helps......
