SOURCE: i have a problem in

The deflection board is part of the Main board and is not available---you do have an option---contact PTS Electronics--get a quote from them----they repair/rebuild all kinds of circuit boards---This set was made around 2002 and it is not unusual that boards are not available for it any more---someone in the chat should have known this and told you.

Let me know if you have questions or need any help.

My tv keeps changing picture size

Does it change height? If so that is the problem with the vertical deflection. It is very rare for the picture to change in width since the is the horizontal deflection circuit, which also provides power, and instead of width problem you would have a dead TV. lol
Ok your problem is with the vertical deflection I assume. The cause could be a bad capacitor, The vertical output amplifier, or just a simple bad solder connection. If you want to know how to fix it let me know, but I have to say it is not that easy. In technicality I would rate it 8 out of ten.

My Zenith tv plays well, then the picture starts jumping and then picture goes off. Repair man has had tv for almost 2 months and can't seem to find out what is wrong.

Check the Vertical output IC and the Solder connections on the Vertical deflection yokes. Bad solder on the yoke plug connectors will cause the same symptom, and the Vertical IC may just need to be resoldered as thats fairly common with that model.

Tv want go on

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input/device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source)

No Raster, but sound works

sounds like vertical deflection has caused the tubes to go into blanking. Do you still have on screen displays? Try resoldering the vertical output IC. If that doesnt help the vertical output may be defective.

The screen doesn't come on. You can hear the tv turn on, but the picture is not there.

try resoldering the vertical output IC sounds like the CRTs are blanking due to vertical deflection. this model is famous for cold solder on the vertical output.

Rear projection

That's a collapse of the vertical deflection. Need the model number to tell you what Ic controls the vertical in that unit - but I can tell you that it would't be all that expensive to repair... It's a common enough problem...
