Please Help!!
I have tried installing Activesync 3.7 on my PC many times now and I always
get about 90% completed and then get the error message: "Setup could not
create the file 'C:\WINDOWS\inf\WCEUSBSH.CAT'. Verify that there is enough
disk space and that the destination file is not read only, and run Setup
again."
Needless to say there is tons of disk space and it is not read only. My OS
is Windows ME.
Would really appreciate any advice.

Hi,
Try this from
http://www.cewindows.net/faqs/ activesync/installation.htm#In stallation:
"If you see a long pause or a failure at 91% while installing ActiveSync,
look in the c:\windows\inf\ folder for OEMx.INF/OEMx.PNF (where x is any
number) files that are zero bytes long. Delete all zero byte
OEMx.INF/OEMx.PNF files in the folder. If any files are read only change the
attribute and delete them. Reboot and then try reinstalling ActiveSync. One
possible source for this problem is Norton Utilities. I have reported this
issue with ActiveSync 3.5 on Windows ME on a Casio Fiva MPC-206e where I had
to plug the notebook into the wall after deleting the files. Other users
have seen it on ActiveSync 3.7 on Windows XP."

WOW - there were 32,455 of those files there - unbelievable.
Thank you so much for this help - I have spent endless hours talking with
ipaq support etc. and nobody had any clue as to what I should do. As soon as
I deleted those files everything went great.
Now I know where to come for advice.
Thanks again.
