I have a lexmark 2600 all in one machine. How do I scan more than 1 page at a time?

This photocopier can only copy 1 page at a time. This is due to only being able to place one sheet on the viewing surface per scan.

To make a scan follow these instructions:

  1. Open lid and put the document or photo face down
  2. Close the lid to press the document flat and avoid dark edges
  3. Have the printer connected to the computer and both turned on
  4. Press the scan icon on the printer
  5. Follow onscreen instructions
  6. Repeat for each document needing to be scanned

How do you stop a test page from printing every time the printer is turned on?

Welcome to FixYa!

Here's how to stop the unwanted print out of test pages.

1. Let the printer print the test page.
2. Place the printed test page in the scanner face down and wait for 10 seconds.
3. Press the scan button of the printer to scan the printed test page.
Make sure that the printer scanned the document properly.

That's it. Every time you install a new cartridge, the printer aligns the print cartridge as well as testing/aligning the scanner.

Note: Try to look at the top of the test page, it should have instructions to place it in the scanner.

I hope that this will help.
Thank you for using FixYa.

How do I scane on my mx310

You will need to plug the printer andcomputer together with a USB cable in order to use the printer's scanningcapabilities. The scanning unit on theMX310 features an automatic document feeder on top of the printer, which willscan multiple pages itself. You can also choose to load documents on thescanning glass, which is covered by the scanner's lid. This is how to do it. 1. Turn on the printer by pressingthe "Power" button until it illuminates and turn on the attachedcomputer. Wait for the printer to finish its initialization process beforecontinuing. 2. Place the document face up inthe automatic document feeder if the document's papers are uniform in andfit in the feed tray. Adjust the paper-width guide to the of thedocument's papers. 3. Place the first page of thedocument face down on the scanning glass after you have lifted the scanningunit's cover, if you choose to not use the automatic document feeder. Close thecover again slowly so the document does not shift on the glass. 4. Press the "Scan"button on the printer's control panel, then press either "Black" or"Color," depending on the type of scan you would like to perform. 5. Retrieve the scanned documentfrom the automatic document feeder's output tray once the scan job is over.Otherwise, click on the "Yes" button on the computer's screen, indicating you would like to scan another page. 6. Lift the scanning unit's cover, remove the document from the scanning glass and place the next page of thedocument face down on the glass. Close the scanner's cover and click on the"OK" button on the screen to scan the next page. Repeat this processuntil all of the document's pages have been scanned.

CAUTION: Do not pull the face plate all the way off yet. There is a plastic catch on the far left inside of the face plate that helps secure the face plate in place. If the face plate is pulled straight off, the plastic catch on the inside of the face plate might be damaged. 5. Use the blue-green handle to lower the pick assembly.
Reattaching the face plate of the ADF Follow the steps below to reattach the face plate to the front of the automatic document feeder.
  1. Hook the face plate onto the left side of the HP all-in-one so that the plastic catch on the far left inside of the face plate catches on the notch on the front of the automatic document feeder. How can I scan to email. I can scan and reprint plus I can scan to memory card

To use this feature in Windows, a destination must be programmed in the scan setup before scanning to a destination. See Set up the product Scan To button.

Load the originals that are to be scanned face-up in the automatic document feeder (ADF) input tray, with the top of the document forward, and adjust the media guides.

Lift the flatbed scanner lid and load the original that is to be scanned face-down on the flatbed scanner with the top, left corner of the document located in the lower-right corner of the glass. Gently close the lid.

On the product control panel, press Scan To.
Use the arrow buttons to select a file destination.
Press Start Scan or OK to scan the document to a file.

Scanning to e-mail is supported by any e-mail program that supports the Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) protocol. Many versions of popular e-mail programs seem to be MAPI-compliant. See the support information for your e-mail program to determine whether or not it is MAPI-compliant.

if using the feeder probably face up as it will likely pull the document in and invert it to lay face down on the scanning glass.

if you lift up the feeder (like lifting the top of a copy machine), then it would be face down on the glass.

there should be an image on the feeder illustrating how the document should be placed - if it looks like a page with lines on it with a bent corner then it is face up.

Copier leaves an ink line down the front of the document when fed through the unit.

Hi there if the line appears when you use the document feeder then there is usually either Correction fluid or pen ink on the small piece of glass to the left of the main glass when you open the lid you can easily clean this by wiping the glass with windowlene or some sort of glass cleaner and this will get rid of your problem.

If the line appears when coping from the glass then the printout from the computer will be the same and that usually means that the print heads need cleaning. Take them out and using a soft cloth wipe the print heads clean from any dried toner.

Hope this help you
Thanks J
