Coffee maker grinds beans, then brews about 1/3 of the water. I restart
with no-grind option and another 1/3 brews. The third time seems to
    make a full pot?

i've been through two of these under warrant now with the exact same problem. i've tried cleaning them with vinegar, CLR, you name it, to no avail. how can i fix this?

I'm having exactly the same problem as described above. Must resart brewing process (w/ grind off) 4-5 times in order to brew an entire pot.

We have the same problem. We are on our 3rd Cuisinart Grind & Brew coffeemaker, and each one has done this. It's time to change products!

I have to turn the "grind off" and restatrt the machine 3-4 times to get all the water brewed.

We had the same problem, a whole pot of coffee was not brewing. Tried hitting the 1-4 brew button. Worked for a while. We are on our second Cuisinart Grind and Brew, (first one was replaced, same problem). We were told to clean the machine every now and then. We did run it through with a cleaning product supplied by dealer. Now the machine won't work at all.

My wife says that it seems to work better when full of water, that lends credence to the thermostat issue.

If I locate which of three thermostats is flaky, A) can I find a replacement part, B) Can I easily replace it?

I also tried removing the control board and looked for contacts or buttons that were worn out or loose connections, etc. No visible problem found, but I did clean the contact pads for the rotary switches (2 knobs), it seemed to help for a while, then it went back to no completing a brewing cycle without multiple restarts.

(Nifty, interlocking design to keep water out!
You'll need a small, stubby shaft Torx screwdriver for 2 of the panel fastening screws under the lid, if you want to try this, but as I said it was not a cure.)

Tried using the 4 cup button with not success. I noticed there were vents on the back of the top lid (for water and grinder), and I had the coffeemaker against a wall and under a cabinet. So far, if I move the pot out and expose the vents before starting it seems to work OK. It's been a week. Thanks for the information about the thermostat.

Ok, so this works (for me at least): before brewing, just hit the button to brew 1-4 cups. It'll still brew a whole pot, it'll use all the water, the coffee will taste no different, and you can still program it however you'd like. Cheers!

Having the same problem. It's a thermostat issue. The product seems to have three. Trying to figure out which one is causing the problem.

My coffee maker takes a long time to brew

Pour 2/3 water and 1/3 white vinegar into it and with the basket empty hit brew. Watch the lime and scale build up come out of it. Initially it will look like small rocks but they will further break down in the pot. Upon completion run 2 additional pots of fresh water through it. If it is still slow repeat the process.

Doesn't always brew all the water, stops early

All coffee makers do this over time from calcium, lime, and mineral deposits building up inside the tubes and heating coil. Fill the reservoir with a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar and run a normal brew cycle, turning it off and on if necessary to completely empty the reservoir. Repeat this 2 or 3 times with fresh mixture of vinegar and water until it brews the reservoir empty without the need to cycle the power. Follow this procedure with plain water 2 or 3 times to clean the vinegar out. This should get it working like new again. It's best to use distilled water for brewing coffee as distilled water does not have the minerals that regular tap water has and therefore will not clog up the machine.

How to clean

mcdevito75 here, Start with a new paper filter or claen the perminant one, you"ll need enough WHITE VINEGAT to fill the pot itself 3/4 full of this WHITE VINEGAR, NOW pour the pot of 3/4 full of WHITE VINEGAR into the resovoir, replace pot in the coffeee maker and cycle thru the vinegar 3 times, each time letting the mavhine cool a bit for easy handleing, on the 3 rd cycle stop 1/2 thru the brew cycle, let machine cool for 30 Minutes, then complete that cycle. Now repeat with fresh water to reove all the vinegar from the machine. Your coffee maker should now be good as new.

Not brewing full pots of coffee

Check the in line water fliter. It may need to be changed.

You can try this also.

Put the brew basket in place with no coffee in it, put an empty decanter under the basket. take a full decanter and pour it in the water fill screen at the top of the unit. When the wtaer stops dripping and the unit is back up to temp, try a full brew cycle.

If it works OK, it just got low on water in the tank

Could be caused by a plugged up filter or lime scale build up.

You have an obstruction in the feed line to the heating element. I found coffee grounds before the check valve. I had to take the bottom off it which I am sure the manufacture wouldn't approve of but I was at my wits end and ready to toss it. I just brewed a full pot 10 minutes!!!

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.
