I have had my phone for about a month. I did not drop it or anything like that. Yesterday, suddenly half of the screen got white strips. It is very hard to look at the text or video in that part of the screen. I have tried shutting down the phone and restarting, but that doesn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: T-Mobile Dash half of the screen has white strips
I know its hard to belive but you may have cracked the screen by just
bumping into something its a common problem with large screen phones i
have tha same problem, you could buy a new ascreen on ebay have
it installed or try to remember how to use it with out a screen,
besides that if you dont have a protection plan on your phone youde
have to buy a new one, and remember protections plans vary depending on
the phone but are well worth it in case things do go wrong even if its
not your fault

The Windows Mobile installation may be corrupted.
The only way to fix that problem is by re-installing the windows software on the phone.
You can get the software for the T-mobile dash at the following link: http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
A big black mark (often looks like an ink blotch) on a mostly white screen usually means that the screen was somehow damaged/broken. The Dash is a rather good device; however, it's been known to experience cracked (inner) screen issues on a slightly more frequent basis than other comparable mobile devices.
The company that I work for sees this issue a few times a month with the Dash, and unfortunately it's just a matter of replacing it at this point.
I'm sorry this isn't a happier answer.

Sorry All, I have had my Wing for 7 months now and never cracked or scratched the screen. I live in NYC so im always walking around in hot and cold so its not any weather condition as someone suggested, i take care of it keep it in the case when im not using it. Ive also never dropped it - yet!!!
do a sw reset....its possible it was damaged when it was dropped in the water, but not likey....
turn the phone off, press and hold the soft keys (buttons with the lines on them above the home key and back arrow key) and hold it down.....press the power button while you are doing that until the white t-mobile screen will come on, then instead of going to the green windows mobile screen, a black screen with white writing......press the green button....it will get you in your phone but it will erase your info as a result....
