Question about Motorola Cell Phones

1 Answer

I have a motorola HF850 blue tooth link for my car installed in a phone compatable radio. I had a non bluetooth unit installed on the radio before so I know that the hands free worked seamlessly. I installed an HF850 in each of two autos. The blue tooth syncs up but when you ask it to dial, it does but there is no audio from the phone and the person receiving the cal cannot hear anything. The audio on these units also sounds mufflied or like sombody talking out the a hole. Any ideas to resolve this problem?

I found the solution to the in the phone settings under auto answer on hands free. It was set to never. Set the time to 2 or 4 seconds. When somebody calls in the phone will delay for 2 seconds and then answer.

I still do not have an answer for the sound like somebody talking out the bottom end. Id anybody has ananswer to that please let me know.

The Motorola W375 is a basic quad-band GSM flip phone that sports a built in FM radio and VGA camera. Other key features include a 2.5mm headset jack, speaker phone and external indicator lights. There are Bluetooth adapters that plug into your Motorola W375 cell phone's 2.5 mm jack and convert your non-Bluetooth phone into a Bluetooth wireless device.

Motorola handsfree kit

these kits are not very good and they are old, you are also unable to update software to work with new phones and the mic quality is poor.
go to your paired devices on your phones and change the hf850 to not connect automatically on both the phones, this may work.
If you can get a full refund and only pay the difference for a parrot it will be worth it. Also look at the THB Bury kit.

HF850 pairs with my Ericsson TM506 phone, but can't voice dial

The TM506 (also known as Bella) must support the Bluetooth Handsfree 0.96 profiling.

The HF850 supports Bluetooth Headshet v1.1, v1.2 and Handsfree 0.96 protocol.

Unless you can find otherwise, the TM506 doesn't support Bluetooth 0.96 Profiles. It is my understanding that on the TM506 you must program your voice commands and I understand that to be different.

Nonetheless, the TM506 works very well and seamlessly (other than voice dialing) with the HF850.

Hf850

There are two power wires for this unit. One for when the ignition is on and the car's running (It's green and called an ignition sense wire) and the other that allows you to turn off the key while you're in the middle of a call.(It's RED and called a positive primary lead) Sounds like you may have these wires crossed

Blue Tooth Pairing

I think that you are usiing an uncompatable headset or your doing it wrong.

How to pair your Bluetooth Head Set:

  1. Turn your Bluetooth on, on your phone.
  2. Turn your Head-set on.
  3. On your phone, in the bluetooth menu; go to "Look for Devices".
  4. Your phone should automatically detect the headset and allow you to connect.

Try http://carphonewarehouse.com to see if your bluetooth head set is compatable.

Connect the fuse kit's GREEN Ignition Sense wire (3 amp fuse - switched) to an ignition switched location on the fuse block. When the ignition is off the sense line is low.
Connect the ORANGE entertainment mute wire to the vehicle's entertainment system. (that is if your stereo supports it)
Connect the RED Positive primary lead to a 4-10 amp fused connection
Connect the BLACK ground wire to the vehicle chassis.
YELLOW & BLUE are not used.
