Upgrading vs. New PC?

I took a look at the specs for your Desktop PC... It's far outdated, so I wouldn't hesitate to replace it.
I just happen to be a bit of an expert in this field, and I'd advise you to avoid buying from a retail manufacturer (which is nothing more than rebranded hardware). If you're interested, I do have a service on here to provide help getting you the perfect Desktop PC (or even Notebook/Laptop if you'd rather go that route). My fee is cheap, and I'll surely save you more than that. Either way, no matter what you decide, be sure to research anything you buy before you do. Let me know your budget and we can go from there, if you're interested. But to answer your question, again... Yes, it's in your best interest to replace the system. (Your motherboard only supports up to 256 mb of ram, and that is older form factor, plus it won't even come close to the system requirements to run any modern Operating system.)

I hope this clears it all up for you. Have a great day, and let me know if I can help any further.
Please remember to rate me, Thank You.

The second laptop is better. It has .7GHz better speed for the CPU, and has a stand alone graphics card versus the integrated graphics card of the first laptop.

Monitor shows VGA no input signal DVI no input signal then monito going to sleep

This sounds like a video card driver issue or the card it self. Make sure all cables are plugged in snug. Once done try to boot in to safe mode by restarting the computer and while it is starting keep on tapping key F8 and choose safe mode. If this works it is driver issue. If nothing happens it is the card it self. Might have to take it to a authorized repair shop. Hope this helps.

I going to buy a emachine et116107 today and i

That particular model has PCI-Express slot for optional upgrades. So if you decide to upgrade the graphics look for anything with a PCI-E label or PCI-Ex16. If you do get a new card make sure to disable the onboard graphics in the system BIOS prior to installing new card. Instructions can be found via google search

Change graphic card toshiba satellite S1800-712

Just try and check the available, open slots on the system's motherboard, whether it is AGP slot or PCI slot, then buy a VGA card of that type, making sure that you check the VGA Memory of the one you are buying (32M and Above should be ok for you depending on what type of applications you run on the system),
then insert this VGA card into available slot, then when you power up your system, go to the system setup (BIOS) and select the type of graphic card you are using as well as its memory size.
Check that you also select that the system should not use the On-Board graphics under the peripherals option in the BIOS setup also.
Hope it helps.
Goodluck!

Help me to find a laptop with graphics card at a range of 30000

Choosing the laptop, the first import thing is the purpose for which you want to buy.

1. If its just for normal home usage with a gaming bit of gaming, then you can choose HP Pavilion series, as they come with good graphic cards. Even Dell Studio/XPS can be considered.

2. If the Purpose is limited to just surfing the net, with some MS Office application, then you can choose cheaper options like Dell Inspiron Series or HP-Compaq Pressrio series. The will come in a range from 33k to 38 k.

3. If you are a linux geek, then for sure go for HP Compaq Pressario the cheapest one (they don't come with OS) and you can choose your own OS (from Ununtu to debian or any other Linux OS). Even if you want to put your version of Windows OS, then you can do so in these laptops (I hate to use Vista as its pathetically slow, I removed Vista Premium from my laptop and now I am using XP as its really very fast. When Windows remove support for XP completely, by then Vista would statbilize, as of now, it keeps crashing every now and then).

Hope this helps.

I have an Advent 5313 laptop which isn't finding any wireless networks anymore. I'm not too sure if this is due to the card dying or a hardware/software problem. Could you please tell me any ways I could...

Hi ricky,

Try this, it may help with your issue. Click Start>right click my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager. Navigate to network adapters, choose your hardware, right click and choose "uninstall". Reboot, windows will detect new hardware and should reinstall the software and say " hardware installed and ready for use" or something to that affect. If this does not resolve your issue go to Advent website and down load new drivers software, the steps for this procedure are as follows:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newsounddrivers. Un-intall sound card and software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop(watch for the light yellow bar at the top of window viewing pane, click on this and choose – download file -. Reboot, and go back to device manager and choose the the your network adapter just as before, this time choose update driver, windows will ask permission to check online updates, choose "No, not this time" and click next, choose " Install from list or specific location, choose this option and direct the wizard to your new sound drivers folder and follow remaining prompts.

Graphic Cardur

Cards range from $50-$500 It all depends on how High-end of a Card you need, There are a Few Things you need to know before buying a Card though
1) Is this a Laptop or desktop, Sounds easy enough but Laptops usually have no slots to install an additional card
2) What type of slot (If Applicable) you have. Options are usually AGP, PCI, PCI-e (PCI Express Which ranges from x1 to x16, for graphics this is usually x16) and PCI-e 2.0 (Newer model of computers and New model of cards)
3) If your Power supply can handle an addtional card. Some cards draw alot of power and require their on power connection.
4). Space inside the computer, Graphics card come in low profile for small spaces, Knowing the appropriate size of the Card is very important.

All of this can be researched and Installed by yourself, and the card is easy to install, Just slide it in the correct port, or you can bring this into Best Buy and We can install this for $49.99 + additional taxes, Its upto you to decide it the work warrants saving the money

Graphics card for my computer

Hi

I am afraid Dimension 3000 has no support for PCI-e or AGP Video cards. You can however install a PCI Video card in one of the three PCI slots. Just ensure that the PCI Video Card you get is universal (i.e. supports both 3.3 and 5 volts).

When you have your new PCI Video card, check here for guide to install the hardware.
