I would do that, but my pics are deleted off my camera. I've saved them in the lumix folder, but it won't let me copy them to a different one, or at all for that matter. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get them off that dang program and somewhere I can work with them. The only thing it allows me to do is email and print. UGH!

Hook your computer up to the camera and download the photos (copy them to a folder) to the computer. Then pop in a clean Cd and click on data files and browse for your photos click on them and when you have them all, burn the Cd.

Any questions , let me know. Thanks for using Fix Ya!

How did you download your pics from your camera to the PC? The camera utilises JPEG photos, so there should be no compatibility issues.

I have had my compact Panasonic Lumix camera for just over a year now, but over the last 2 months or so I have found that it says that the memory is full after 14 photos, I have tried several cleared...

Your camera is telling you the internal memory of the camera is full, not the card. You must get rid of the pics in the internal memory to get the card to work properly. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions. If you need to save those pictures, go into the menu and find "copy" and copy the internal memory to a memory card.

This is a problem with the memory card. I don't know why your camera is not giving an error message of some kind- it seems to know that it can't store pictures there.

Probably the first thing to try is formatting the card. There is a function in the camera menus to do this. If it won't format or gives an error when you try, then there may be an issue with the connectors in the card slot or the card may be incompatible.

Maybe it is having trouble with the size of the memory. Memory cards have grown enormously in capacity in the last couple of years, and even relatively new cameras may not be able to cope with the memory size of the newest cards.

SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

Try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your digital memory card, here are some for your options.

Photo Recovery (for Windows)
Photo Recovery for Mac

Be careful: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

When you say it did not work with the card reader, are you saying nothing appeared on your computer? No icon on your desktop, no Windows box offering ways to open your pics, and finally, did you open "my computer" to see if they appeared as a "removable disc"?

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5 cant upload photos!!

Did your friend use the "safely remove hardware" function when removing your card from her computer? That could corrupt your card if she didn't. Try this...take your card to a store like Walmart that has a Kodak picture kiosk. They can usually read everything on a card. There, you can print the pics or even make a cd of them. Afterwards, format your card in your camera.

To delete all or just one of the pics on the memory card -- go to the play mode and use the Q Menu on the very bottom right -- you can select your choice from there.

In play you can also go to Menu and Protection and select if you want all or one photo protected.

Hope that helps!
Took me a while to figure it out!

Lumix Simple Viewer - Copying files to CD

I have "acquired" photographs from my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX 8 using Lumix Simple Viewer onto my computer, and I am able to view them. However, I need them in a format that I can now copy them onto a CD or attach them as files to emails (without using the "Send by e-mail" function). I am sure this is simple, but is anyone able to help me?
