This particular vehicle is one of Hyundai's Top Sellers. I'm a Service Technician and can tell you I haven't seen any 'MAJOR' problems with the Tuscon -- just minor stuff.

4wd do not tuen on, Hyundai Tucson 2006, V6, G6BA, 4wd

Check the relay first then the fuse. If they are not bad then it might be that the switch is burned out after that it will be in the shift modulator for the 4 wheel drive. If it is the modulator then you will need a new one.

4 wheel drive

Could be the switch/valve in the front differential.

Does a 2006 Toyota 4Runner Sport need a 2 or 4 Wheel Alignment

There is nothing to adjust on the rear because it is a solid axle, most dealers and alignment shops do a 4wheel alignment anyway and they don't charge less for a two wheel alignment. A 4wheel alignment also reveals any possible bent suspension components or frame misalignment..

No light on 4wheel dr control

There are a few things that would cause this problem.
The first and most common would be the switch itself is bad. the next would be a bad 4wheel drive encoder motor, this is the motor on the transfer case that is used to operate the 4wheel drive. The last would be the 4 wheel drive module.
You will need to do some testing, if the four wheel drive is working and goes in and out of 4 wheel drive then i would say it the switch. if it does not work correctly it may still be the switch or one of the components i listed above.I have enclosed a wiring diagram, you will need to do some testing to check system, first make sure all fuses are good. the fuses that operate the 4wd are listed on diagram, it will also tell you the location of each part. you will need to test front axle actuator and selector motor and switch, you will need a test light and a meter. hope this is helpful, good day.4_26_2012_10_13_14_pm.gif

I have a 2006 tuscan with 27000 miles on clock.changed front tyres recently but they keep going down.went back to tyre shop & was told due to alloy paint coming off wheel, it is not allowing new tyre...

Doesn't sound right, unless wheel is damaged bent/cracked. A cheap fix would be "fix a flat" (sealer in a can) in each tire just as a safety precaution. Also check your tire valves sometimes tire shops don't get the valve cores tight.
