The sony vaio vgn-n130g boots up just to the windows xp 2005 media edition then it recycles to restart. Seems to me it may be a system 32 file that is corrupted for the bios system boot. i would love to just instal a new xp service pack 2 and just start all over. Yet the c drive has a lot of photos that were not backed up. So i'm thinking I have to take the hard drive out and just back it up...... I tried safe mode and all the other F8 troubleshooting. I'm stuck and there isn't to may blogs for this laptop....
Download knoppix (http://www.knppix.net) and burn it the .iso to CD. You will be able to boot just from the CD-ROM and back up all your photos to thumb drive.
