WOW Two whole terrabytes of memory!
The reason would be the size
The PS3's subway buses (USB) only have so much bandiwdth and the Ps3 can only read so much. It would have to breakdown over 2000 gb of data into sectors to read.
It is also possible that your harddrive isn't in the right format. Connect it to a computer and format it to FAT32
Thank you for your time, Good luck and I hope this works

Toshiba DWC120 2TB Harddrive not recognised

Before connecting anything to an USB port you need to install the software for the device. Then you can connect it.
But when you have an old laptop it could be it can't handle the 2 TB.
First install the software that came with the drive. Then see if the laptop can handle the 2TB.

Sumvision cyclone mkv 2 enclosure will not conect to my computer the drivers are missing where can i get them from

From this and several other posts you made on this device (I assume you are the same Anonymous poster), it appears you do not have a formatted hard drive installed in the unit, or you didn't know the computer is treating it as an external drive (even if it calls it an "unknown" USB device. Your computer is looking for the file system in the enclosure. The directions for finding the unit from a Windows computer (written for the mkv, not the mkv 2, but they would probably work the same) are given in the review article linked below. Note: if you don't find any "Unallocated" disk, look in "My Computer" for a drive that isn't your internal hard drive or other usual device. Probably all you have to do is save your media files to this drive and they will be available to play on your A/V system.

How do I work on my data on the Seagate FreeAgent 2TB GoFlex Desktop USB 2.0 Hard Drive as my computer memory is at capacity. I want to be able to use my external hard drive as an extension of my computer...

Assuming you are using a Windows operating system, you can just plug it into your computer's USB ports, and the computer will recognise it as another hard drive.

Instructions:
Double-click on 'My Computer' and take note of what drive letters are there (C:, D:, etc.) before you plug in the Seagate Freeagent.
Plug in the Seagate Freeagent. You'll see the new drive, likely E: or F: (depending on what is already there before you plugged in the Seagate Freeagent)
Double-click on the new drive, and it'll open up and you'll see the files stored on that drive. You can drag and drop files and save to this drive like any other folder on your computer.
