HI - our rotating plate cracked for a JVM1450BA001 micro. Do have a replacement part for this model? I believe it has been discontinued.

Even though the model has been discontinued, the tray is still available. If you go to www.appliancepartspros.com and enter the model number you should be able to find the tray there. Hope this helps you.

When I go to the appliancepartspros.com website and enter JVM1450BA001 as the model number, I get the following page.http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partse... Looking at the diagram I find that the tray is number 85. It show that the tray AP2030891 is in stock at $50.49.

Hi, What is the removable metallic/cardboard plate for where the micrwaves come out into the oven cavity? Is it needed?

Nothing other than the rotating table and wheel ring is removable from any micro wave. Do not remove panels!

Sharp R-9H84B-display black, cleared display shows "Conv Mix, 88:88 Auto". Short time all dark again. Hit clear happen 2 times then, all dark, no power, can't clear won't start, nothing works.

I would suggest pulling the control board out and looking on the foil side (opposite the component side) for "ring cracks," most likely on the low voltage transformer's connections.

The board may have the screen-printed reference designator "T1" near the low voltage transformer.

Also be sure the fuse is not easy to turn with your fingertips when it is in the holder. If it is, the fuse holder is too loose and must be replaced (not just squeezed with pliers).

You can order a fuse holder, part number WB06X10034 for $6.49 (subject to change) from the Pros here.

If you have any keypad issues, please note that the membrane keypads for this model have long been discontinued.

I ruined the part that turns the glass platter

It's not safe to disassemble or repair a microwave oven yourself. I would not try to use the damaged 'rotate' feature (you might invert one of those plastic microwave-safe plates above the spinner to avoid using it). However, I highly recommend a repair shop or (better yet) get a new microwave for $50 and be safe.

While cooking popcorn lastnight in the microwave the glass plate that rotates snapped in half. My husband picked it up right away so it wasn't hot. He put in a microwave safe plate into cook more popcorn...

All that is required to crack/break an item that is microwave safe is a fine crack or deep scratch. Water will expand so quickly as the microwave energy heats up the water, it turns to steam and cracks the plate with the pressure build up.

Plate doesn't spin on mw8102ss

There is a motor underneath the oven that turns the plastic coupling the plate fits over. Either the motor has gone bad or the plastic coupling has cracked where it fits over the motor shaft. According to the Sears parts website (www.searspartsdirect.com), the plastic coupling (Emerson part # M0R0688) has been discontinued with no replacement. The motor is part # M0S1033 at $36.99.

You can continue using the oven even if the plate doesn't turn, but you have to occasionally open the oven and turn the food yourself to aid in even cooking.
