Why would the washer cylce be really noisy?

High pitch noisy = wash pump bearings shot.
Replace main pump. Big job though.
Need to disconnect almost everything, turn it upside down, sides off, bottom off etc.
Might be better off to get a repairer.

I need to replace the bearings in my front loading washer-LG MW2277HW?

Bearing replacement is quite a big job. The components can be replaced individually, or the rear drum assembly can be replaced as a whole. Obviously there is a difference in time involved and component cost.. Get quotes for both methods of repair and for machine replacement as well..... Good luck.....Nomess

Frieght train noise through the house

Sounds like the drum bearings have gone. Replacement in the uk would cost aroung £130 as it is very labour intensive.
Would not recommend it on a 6yr old machine as other problems may not be too far off.
Hope this helps & thankyou for using Fixya.

LG WM2032HW Washer

You may have a bearing problem and it will need to be looked at by a qualified LG technician.  That is a big job and will require total disassembly of the tub and drum assembly to get to the bearings.  There are 2 of them.
