A further note that I try to pass along every chanc I get: Be very very careful about doling firmware updates via the Garmin Webupdater. The Garmin Webupdater has been known to corrupt the system file(s) on some units. Read around on the forums about this if you would like furthher information.

My question to you is ...Has the system ever operated correctly? If so then the problem most likely is in the head unit. So assuming that it has never worked correctly, I would say that you need to verify that the B+ is a direct connection to the battery. Something tells me that you have utilized a wire that is common to the neutral safety switch. Put the car in neutral to test for this. There are some other things you can do.Treat the system like a computer system with a hardware conflict. Disconnect ALL devices that are connected to the unit including the speakers and try turning it on with everything disconnected. Understand that this system is only to be used with IPODS that are 3rd gen and newer. Not all usb devices are compatible with all systems. I believe there is also a "Test Mode" the unit might be stuck in, look into that

I had just about the same senerio with my 1490LMT. I found out that the female USB port needed to be resoldered back to the board. I ended up getting a replacement from the retailer.

My hp Pavillion dv6 laptop can no longer use Constant Guard which Comcast supplies. Also Quattro Pro quit working midstream. How do I fix it?

More then likely running System Tuneup replaced critical files that Comcast Constant Guard and Quattro Pro uses... I recommend doing the following three steps but only if you have the Original or backup copies of the installation disc/media for both applications: 1) uninstalling the Comcast Constant Guard application 2) then do a normal shutdown and reboot once it has rebooted 3) install the Comcast Constant Guard once that's done and successfully do the same three steps but for the Quattro Pro application

I am unable to get windows xp to load onto my ASUS A2500H anymore. Everything was working fine for a long time, even with an external HDD attached until today. All of a sudden the laptop died and when...

The best you can try is to remove the external HDD and see if computer boots..

If it does, you know where the problem is..

If it doenst, reboot computer, start tapping F8, if you get advance boot options, try to boot computer with Save Mode, Perform system restore from save mode.

If the above doesnt work, you need to perform repair installtion of Windows XP.

How do i reboot my computer

Hi,

To reboot the desktop machine, kindly press the power on button for few seconds / small button(reset) below the power button to reboot the computer.

If its laptop follow the below steps

Determine what operating system it uses. Finding out what operating system your laptop uses will let you know what key combo (such as "Ctrl+Alt+Delete") can exit you from usage and trigger a reboot or shutdown.

Try and reboot using the operating system. Attempt to use the key combination that will allow you to exit from the operating system and restart the laptop. Be patient, as it may take some time if it has locked up.

Hold down the power button. If the operating system's answer to the rebooting will not work, find and hold down the power button of the laptop. This should cause the device to shut itself off. You'll have to press the power button again to power it back on, completing the reboot.

Unplug from the wall and remove the battery. If restarting via the operating system and the power button do not work, unplug the laptop from the wall outlet, and remove the battery from the laptop. This will cause it to power off immediately.

Allow time to reboot. Give the laptop time to cool down before you power it back on if you had to do this manually. A few seconds should do unless you have additional problems.

I want to restart or reset my laptop. how?

Hi,

Few steps to restart you laptop, I would suggest not to restart often since it will degrade the hardware resource.
  • Determine what operating system it uses. Finding out what operating system your laptop uses will let you know what key combo (such as "Ctrl+Alt+Delete") can exit you from usage and trigger a reboot or shutdown.
  • Try and reboot using the operating system. Attempt to use the key combination that will allow you to exit from the operating system and restart the laptop. Be patient, as it may take some time if it has locked up.
  • Hold down the power button. If the operating system's answer to the rebooting will not work, find and hold down the power button of the laptop. This should cause the device to shut itself off. You'll have to press the power button again to power it back on, completing the reboot.
  • Unplug from the wall and remove the battery. If restarting via the operating system and the power button do not work, unplug the laptop from the wall outlet, and remove the battery from the laptop. This will cause it to power off immediately.
  • Allow time to reboot. Give the laptop time to cool down before you power it back on if you had to do this manually.
Else Try:

Windows start > there's a small arrow(pointing RIGHT) in the left bottom > click it and u will get ALL the Power House Options there at your Click(sleep, hibernate, shut down,RESTART,....)

Black screen problem

Hello :

I had this problem before . What I did to solve it ? . I took the OS CD [ windows xp ] and inserted it in the CD driver .

I rebooted the system .

While the system is rebooting , I started booting from the CD .

When the computer asked me , if I want to install fresh copy of OS I agreed with it .

After that the computer will load some files from the CD .

Then It will stop to ask me again if I want to install fresh copy of OS or I want to repair the OS , I chose repairing OS ..

That's it . Just repair the OS and problem will be solved

I hope that will help .

please don't forget to rate if solution is helpful .

I have a dell smart step 100 d its constantly rebooting

Hello.

Even though you said that you changed every piece of hardware, just for good measure I wanted to tell you that there are three reasons that a computer reboots itself: 1. Memory, 2. Power supply 3. Operating system problem, such as malware.

Hope that helps, although you may have done the above.
