If you are experienced or comfortable enough opening your laptop up , im certain that the LCD cable connecting to the laptops motherboard has become dislodged.

I know it seems weird that it can happen but we had one at work that was locked down to a desk and this is exactly what happened to it too.

It easy enough to reconnect , and it will be located at the spine of the laptop usually where the hinge for the screen is.

Im sorry about your situation.

Does the computer turn on??
If the computer turns on do you hear or can you see the fan working??

My computer screen goes black whe i turn it on

It would be helpful if you posted the Make, Model and the OS you are using. Does it boot? Can you boot to Safe Mode? Have you checked ALL cables? Do you get anything on the screen? Fans spin? LED's Blink at boot? Sound? Need more info.

Alot of problems with the HP.

First thing is make sure when you changed the battery you would need to check the jumper that allows you reset the BIOS and let you use the computer.

The other is the fan speeds it normally should go a little high not so high but in your case the CMOS battery that was installed could cause some things not to work especially if it supports PCI-E. The motherboard in your system must have a dual video connector. One is on the board and one is on the PCI-E. Make sure the monitor is plugged into the right port. It should work after that. If not remove the PCI-E card and see if it works with the onboard connector.

when you turn your screen on does it turn on. if yes then it is a VGA card problem...if you remove the VGA card and use the onboard one, the problem will be the same because their can't be two VGA on one computer and if their is, the onboard VGA is bad and thats why you have another VGA card replacing it, and if that one goes bad also, then you need to buy a new one.

When pluged into outlet fans spins and doesnt stop, wont boot

Fan spinning hard is usually a CPU issue.
If you've made any hardware changes to your computer, undo them. This happened to me when I was trying to upgrade my Processor (CPU) and I had the wrong kind.

The video on that particular system is integrated in the motherboard. With that being said, I would say that your motherboard is going out. It may have taken a hit from lightening and just did not kill it completely. It's a good looking computer, I would look into another motherboard that has the same specs that yours has. You can get a new motherboard for about $50 USD if you go to www.pricewatch.com and look under MOTHERBOARDS and then look for PROCESSOR TYPE and then ATHLON X2. Hope this helps you.

It could be many reasons. But worst one could be CPU fan failure. If your CPU fan is not working properly then your computer wont boot but most imp thing is, it could damage your processor coz of overheating.
Another reason may be faulty ram, motheboard problem, hardware failure etc.
so cant say for sure but make sure ur fan is cooling ur processor.
Hope it helps
