You should be able to run the cabling from the output of the camera directly into the input on a vcr, set the vcr to record, make sure that the vcr is set to whatever channel your monitor needs to be on to view the picture

My Father has a Goodmans GD11FVRSD32 freeview recorder and media initialising stays on the screen permanently. meaning he cannot access library or record any programmes

hi ya

this is almost certainly a hard drive failure - and probably lost all the stuff recorded on it,

its very common issue and if its out of warranty may as well go for a new one, manhatten are fairly good for the money and use AV class harddrive which a designed for continual use,

however you can swap the harddrive out for a new one cheaply it should be s 2.5 sata drive of 320 or 500gb, these willbe about £25 quid

and its easy to swap out but always do it with the power off

My dvr will not record. We moved the location of the tv and may not have hooked everything back up correctly. I have 2 tvs on this receiver and it will not record on 1 or 2.

dvr's record from the signal input, not from the tv. tv's are just used to display.i expect the input from ariel? sat dish? freeview box? is not connected right

Motion recording for Swann dvr4

Have you switched cameras to AUTO (A) on settings line. Is the sensitivity for motion turned on and set correctly =
1= very sensitive 9 = less sensitive.

Setting areas are shaded = no recording area
unshaded = recording area

Hope this helps - good luck.
