Question about Lexmark X6170 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Re: my Lexmark All-In-One X6170 printer
I send and receive every week, but occasionally, I get a company that says, "the fax won't go through". I have not disconnected anything. I received a fax last week from someone else, and faxed out this morning. This is an insurance company that is trying to fax me. Could it have something to do with their baud rate? This line is shared with my phone. Do I need a dedicated line in order for this to work?
For these companies, try disconnecting the phone tremporarily to see if thsi is interferring just with these particular faxes. Sometimes if a company's fax is set to phone/fax, it may be trying to call you first beacuse ths would be the default settings. If it detects no phone it may by default accept your fax no problems. Hope this helps.
