Question about Grills & Smokers

Gas Switch Doesn't Consistently Turn on Gas Anymore

We've had our Broil-Mate Natural Gas BBQ/Grill for about 3 years now. To start it, you push in & turn the Gas knob for gas, then crank the Igniter button. This summer, we started having problems, sometimes needed to push & turn the Gas knob a few times before the gas would actually flow (it is easy to hear it). Now, need to push & turn as many as 20 times before getting any gas. What does this problem sound like? Do we need a replacement part?

Hmmm, we've not disconnected the grill in the 3 years we have had it, so I think this can't quite be it. Any other thoughts?

Check the gas line inside for spider webs. this happens when the gas line is disconnected for some time.

Char Broil Gas BBQ Knobs just spin, no propane coming out.

Just a wild guess but I think on a Char Broil you have to push in the knob and turn it to the setting.

I would like to convert a grill that was used on natural gas back to propane. Can I just purchase a regulator and hose and be good, or do I need to change anything else on the grill?

Burner orifices must be resized or adjusted to accommodate higher pressure LP.
Air shutters should be opened all the way to allow maximum air to gas ration.

Natural gas Bril King BBQ . Want to convert to Propane.

Unfortunately, there are no gas conversion kits available for any Broil King Grills. That's why they always make a Propane Model and a Natural Gas Model. In fact, Onward Manufacturing Co, the manufacturer of Broil King, don't recommend that conversions be attempted.

I'm sorry, I wish I had better news for you,

I am looking for a conversion kit for a BBQ Galore Turbo from NATURAL GAS to Propane

Hi,

BBQ Best (www.bbqbest.com.au) have natural gas conversion kits so you can convert your bbq from LPG to natural gas. Great site and good advice - Simon the owner was the only guy that could help me out.

You need to look at the orifices to see if the hole on it is big for Natural Gas and small for LP!

My grill burners burn unevenly and usually too high. Adjustment?

If this is a natural gas grill, check to see if it has a regulator on the gas line. If it does not, you can install a regulator to reduce the gas flow.
