Unfortunately I do not have any good news for you ...If the image do not appears anymore..it means that it either has a power issue..or the lcd screen is gone bad...and need to be replaced..and in this case I don't think is worth the trouble ...cause it may cost more to buy the screen and replace than buying a new one ...The only thing that you can try is to see if the problem is not from the ac adapter charger...Being the only power source on this frame ...if the charger is burned..it can cause the frame not to work anymore...so ...try to locate a charger with the same kinda plug ..and on the same specifications regarding the voltage ...and try to see if plugging a new one makes it work again ...If it does...you are lucky ...but in any other case it is not worth repairing unless it has a sentimental value and you want to do it regardless of costs..
In short ...being used for a long period of time ..there is possible that the ac adapter to be burned ..and replacing it ..can be a chance for making it working again ...but pay attention to be the same voltage as on the original one...otherwise..the repairing can not be done due to high costs and lack of replacement parts..

All you do is plugin the keychain to your computer, (make sure you push the cable all the way into the keychain), the softwre should auto popup on your computer screen.
If not, connect, then go to 'Computer under your start button, it will be labeled as a CD rom drive, double click it to access it.

lost installation disc for dp-161, still have the keychain but it is not much good without the disc.
I have a coby dp-161 key chain too, and once I downloaded the software, it allowed me to open only once !! Afterwards it told me that photoviewer could not be found, and that the program would exit immediately !! grrrr.......how annoying !!!
Can anybody help ? Coby has no website where I could download the software for free !

when i try to download the software it says it is operateable but when i plug the photo keychain in it says its not there and i have uninstalled and reinstalled many times but it still wont work. can someone help?
I bought one too. It said I needed to format the hard drive of the thing but then said the format failed. Unfortunately I waited a couple of months to even open the box and the only thing the tech guy said was, "I do apologize and have a great day." So I say, if you googled to see if you want to buy this DON'T BUY IT!!!! Do not buy the Coby DP-161.
