GE electrical house breakers keep tripping. Any problems or recalls

You may have overload that power circuit with too many appliances.
Check the load of each of the appliances on that power circuit, add them together and check to see that it does not exceed the rating of the circuit breaker.
OR
You have an overload or short/fault on an appliance on the power circuit that is protected by that circuit breaker.
To identify the faulty appliance, disconnect all the appliances on that circuit and then connect each appliance one at a time to see when the circuit breaker trips out. When that happens you have identified the faulty appliance.

I have a kitchen aid electric range kesc307hbs8. we lost electricity one day and when it went back on the stove began to smell burTt. the range heats up but the control panel and touch pad are not working....

Hi.It is advisable to turn off your fuse or appliance when there is a power outage..When the power turns back ,it will produce surge amount of voltage that would eventually damage your appliances.when power comes back it has a very abnormal current flow.it may rise or fall which might beyond the wires capability.meaning it goes beyond what the wire can carry..It might be that when the power supply return it gives high current and short circuit the ground and live wires of your electric range. You better check continuity using an OHMETER.MULTITESTER if there is no short circuit. If the reading of the multitester if set to ohms is too high thats beyond the maximum amount going to the right, then there is a short circuit..

Based on what you are telling me, you have a very serious short inside the kettle. If you are familiar with electric circuits, you can remove the bottom and have a look. Maybe you can at least see the short and maybe repair it. Otherwise, have a appliance repair shop have a look.

My friend, your original statement did bring a slittle smile to my lips on this cold January day. Thanks for that.

#8 fuse blows as soon as replaced

What ever the fuse is going to has a "direct short" in it. Either somewhere on the wire between the fuse and the appliance it is hooked to there is a bare spot (a place where the wire insulation has worn off) and it is making direct contact with a ground (car body) or the appliance the fuse is hooked up to has been damaged, and has shorted out, and needs to be replaced.

Solution: trace the wire from the fuse to the appliance looking for bare wire, if you find that cover it with electrical tape and problem solved. If not then unhook the appliance and replace the fuse. If the fuse does not blow then the appliance is bad and replace the appliance.

Electric tripping

There is no way to boost the amount of electricity to your kitchen, short of having an electrician run additional outlets on a new circuit. It sounds like you have too many appliances plugged into one circuit. Most kitchens built since the adoption of building codes have two small appliance circuits, usually on opposite sides of the room. Try moving the electric kettle across the room. If that doesn't work, try unplugging or at least not using the toaster, toaster oven, electric griddle, coffee maker, microwave, or other high demand appliances at the same time.

Washer smells like electrical burning

Peace aminajmay,
ngafm At your service!

Sounds like an electrical fault.
If I were there hands on I could be definite.

Only a hands on laundry tech can make the diagnoses.

BUT, how old is the washer?

If the appliance is 10 years old or more you it may not be advisable to put good money into bad!
New appliances are so much more efficient today that they can save you a lot of money in energy!
Water,Electric and detergent! And put money back in your pocket!
The new appliance will pay for itself in only a few years!

Bless You ngafm
