How to connect a plug electric dryer to a 4 plug outlet

for short, just dont mind the color.. the black wire from the new plug goes to right in/on the appliance terminal block, the white from the new plug goes to both white in the middle of the same terminal block and the red wire from the new plug goes to left terminal block of the appliance therminal block and of coarse the green from the new plug goes to the appliance frame.. no need nor sense in trying to figure the wire color of the appliance as it does not mean anything really and it does not follow any rules nor standards..

Frigidaire gallery dryer won't start

It is code that every major appliance is to be on it's own circuit (breaker). I would have an appliance tech check the electric in the dryer for shorts. It's possible the terminal block got shorted. The best thing to do is buy a voltage tester, put it on the block and see if it beeps. If it does, the dryer is getting power and it's an internal problem. If not, then the problem lies between the breaker box and the dryer.

My electricity trips out as soon as i turn my dryer on a time to work. if turned on and just on standby and not on any time it's fine, but as soon as i turn the knob to a time it all cuts out.

Either there is an internal short or the control module is shorted inside.

The control board is difficult to test. Usually you first check the board at the glance to check if any component is melting or if there is trace of damage. If timer is analog(I don't have model number), then check for shorts at the contacts. If there is nothing at a glance inspect the rest of the wiring and parts, then eventually replace the timer board if all the rest is testing good. If the machine trips off when you turn on the timer, then either the heater or the motor can be shorted. Check wiring at motor and heater. A multimeter set on impedance may help to find shorts. Most shorts that result in main breaker trip off are visible at a glance because they leave traces (also smell) of burning. Testing is done after disconnecting the appliance from power by tripping circuit breaker or unplugging power cord.

Electric dryer makes a popping sound and sparks come from the lower back of the dryer

That doesn't sounds quite right. The first thing to do is stop using the dryer. Unplug the dryer.

This is a serious issue. Basically you got a fire hazard and you may get your house burned down.

I know this is not the best solution, but you should contact the manufacturer for assistance (I bet they don't want a lawsuit because a fire hazard), Check what they can do for you. If there is nothing that can be done because the age of the appliance, get a professional tech to check what's going on. I believe is better to expend some money fixing the appliance other than saving money and getting a burned house.

After giving you a little crude reality, If you have a background about electricity, the problem may be caused by the main motor, there is a short circuit or overcharged circuit. I don't think this will be a cheap repair. If the appliance is more than five years old, don't even try it.

You are lucky enough not to get fire yet.

I would unplug it. It sounds like the selector is broke. Servall carries appliance parts. Make sure the appliance is grounded. You are paying big bucks on the electricity if it is working 24/7. Go on internet and enter your model in search window. You can find diagrams online. Good luck.

Dryer wont start

In the lower part of the dryer you have wirings, the motor, and often also an elecronic module, that also works at 120V, if water had reached one of this parts while the dryer was hooked to powe, it must have caused a short.

The appliance must be taken apart by a repairman, and the part that has shorted, replaced or repaired.
