Hi, I need your help. I have some problems with my network. My
Linux box have 2 NIC the first is 3Comm 3C509, it work fine and is
pluged in DSL. My second card is D-Link DFE-530TXS, linux have find
automatically the driver for this card (sundance module), I can ping
this card. I use Telnet, ssh and nfs with no trouble, but if I try to
downloads any file via FTP it freeze, if I try to open a directory in
windows with samba, I can see my file but if I try to download the
files the communication turn down. Before I had just the 3Com card

Stephane,
We have had lots of problems (not just on Linux, FreeBSD too) with DLinks
freezing up every now and again on the external interface. We have to
restart network and route for it to come back up again. It seems a few
people have this problem and always on DSL like us. We now only use 3Com
cards as they cause us no problems. The DLink (530-TX) in my machine at home
seems to be fine on cable.
Regards
Rob
